Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Interested to know whether he thinks lying is a sackable offence in all cases.

Add another to the list. Cohen has repeatedly denied ever visiting Prague.

If the Prague connection is true, shit is really about to get crazy.

Think I remember someone saying on here ages ago that, based on Cohen's passport, this was the only assertion in the dossier proven to be false.

Anyone having and idea what portion of the dossier has been confirmed up till now ? It appears to gain credibility by the week.

Looking forward to seeing this synopsised in the future on "Reeling In The Years" style programmes (Irish reference)... It'll cut from him saying "Says who?" to him in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs and the caption but he had been to Prague after all...

That's a pretty big development. The part about Cohen visiting Prague got a lot of attention when the Steele dossier was first published.

COMPANY INTELLIGENCE REPORT 2016/136
RUSSIA/US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: FURTHER DETAILS OF TRUMP LAWYER COHEN’S SECRET LIAISON WITH THE KREMLIN

Summary

-Kremlin insider reports TRUMP lawyer COHEN’s secret meeting/s with Kremlin officials in August 2016 was/were held in Prague

-Russian parastatal organisation Rossotrudnichestvo used as cover for this liaison and premises in Czech capital may have been used for the meeting/s

-Pro-Putin leading Duma figure, KOSACHEV, reportedly involved as “plausibly deniable” facilitator and may have participated in the August meeting/s with COHEN

Detail
  1. Speaking to a compatriot and friend on 19 October 2016, a Kremlin insider provided further details of reported clandestine meeting/s between Republican presidential candidate, Donald TRUMP’s lawyer Michael COHEN and Kremlin representatives in August 2016. Although the communication between them had to be cryptic for security reasons, the Kremlin insider clearly indicated to his/ her friend that the reported contact/s took place in Prague, Czech Republic.

  2. Continuing on this theme, the Kremlin insider highlighted the importance of the Russian parastatal organisation, Rossotrudnichestvo, in this contact between TRUMP campaign representative/s and Kremlin officials. Rossotrudnichestvo was being used as cover for this relationship and its office in Prague may well have been used to host the COHEN / Russian Presidential Administration (PA) meeting/s. It was considered a “plausibly deniable” vehicle for this, whilst remaining entirely under Kremlin control.

  3. The Kremlin insider went on to identify leading pro-PUTIN Duma figure, Konstantin KOSACHEV (Head of the Foreign Relations Committee) as an important figure in the TRUMP campaign-Kremlin liaison operation. KOSACHEV, also “plausibly deniable” being part of the Russian legislature rather than executive, had facilitated the contact in Prague and by implication, may have attended the meeting/s with COHEN there in August.

Think I remember someone saying on here ages ago that, based on Cohen's passport, this was the only assertion in the dossier proven to be false.

Here's the original Buzzfeed article relating to Cohen producing his passport and allowing unfettered access. According to stamps in his passport (it is legal for him to have more than one, and that information is private) he was only within the Schengen Area in July 2016, the Steele dossier placed him in Prague in August/September. Anything further seems to be rumours at the moment:

"Rumor has been swirling for months that Cohen flew into Germany by private jet in early September 2016 and went on to Prague by train or bus—now Mueller has evidence it may be true"

If this is corroborated then that is full on collusion on steroids.
But as the FNC shoutbots have been telling us for months, collusion isn't a crime.

Thankfully the genius-IQ President knows better and will fire everyone, ending the frivolous investigation to save the American taxpayers from wasting anyany m money.

Not sure he actually can fire people from SDNY (Which has jurisdiction in this case)

(Preet Bharara was the US Attourney for SDNY fired by Trump).

One thing to be wary of is that in 2017, after the dossier came out and Cohen denied going to Prague, it was suggested the Cohen in question was an entirely different Michael Cohen. Hope to feck this isn't all just a misunderstanding about another Michael Cohen confirmed as being in Prague

Oh yes I was being sarcastic. I think Mueller is well aware of the options Trump would most likely use and has plans to have a lot of the financial crimes pursued at the NY state level to ensure Trump's federal pardon power has no use. That said, I don't doubt Trump will go down kicking and screaming, including firing anyone he can (or try to anyway)

If he's going to remove Rosenstein then he'll be doing it in the next 24 hours. Trump's addressing the nation soon on Syria and retaliatory action is imminent.

If he fires Rosenstein it'll easily knock Syria off the top of the news. Everyone is waiting for it.
Yeah, feel like he'd have done it the other way around if it was gonna happen.

Seems mild, if I was staring down the barrel of a 30 year prison sentence I'd spend my remaining free days coked up with the sluttiest women I could find.

And I am pretty sure he has a Rolodex of them or at least access to them via Stormy, McDougal etc.

If Cohen gets proven to have been in Prague per the Steele dossier then I hope they fry the SOB. Alright, I’ll settle for a 30 years incommutable prison sentence.
