True Blood - Season 3 (T.V. show only)

They’ve really made Russell powerful, eh? I didn’t think we would be seeing Vampires as strong as Godric for a while.

Glad Loretta is gone.. she was just annoying as hell.

I wonder what was up with Bill not getting burnt either.. maybe it’s because he lacked a lot of vampire blood or maybe it was Sookies blood?

Gotta say this series has been great so far.

Big spoilers below. Dont read if you dont want it ruined..

Sookie is the great grand-daughter of a Fairy prince. Vampires go mad for Fairy blood as it tastes sweeter. Thats why they are all attracted to her, but don't realise why.

btw, in the book of this season, Bill practically rapes & kills Sookie in the boot of the car because he's so desperate for blood that his primal instincts take over

Cant wait till "Quinn" comes into it, interested to see who they will get to play him

Great season so far, much closer to the book story than last seasons, which i thought was poor.

I recall in the last episode of the first season that Bill lasted quite a long time in the sun, I remember Godric said that the younger the vampire is, the longer it takes. I assume Sookie's blood had a big impact as well though

There was a moment when he looked down at his hands which has left me wondering a few things...

1. His skin seemed less pale and more human than it usually would, is this because of Sookie's blood or simply because it has sunlight shining on it?

2. When he looked down at himself he had a look, I can't tell if it was "why am I not combusting yet?" or "oh god that's sunlight on my skin".

3. He seemed to be immune to the sunlight for a good few seconds before it started to make his skin smoke, is this normal or again down to sookies blood?

The season just hit top form gtfi

I reckon Junya will have a new fave scene ever after that

Sookies blood.

The season has picked up a bit now at last, but I'm still finding a lot of it Tedious this year.

The first couple of episodes were average, but now I can't wait for next week's episode.

Downloading. Canny fooking wait.

and now for the weather. Tiffany!
Loved it.

Fantastic character. Really like him.
I really like his evil/funny side.
When I was younger and I watched Buffy, I always enjoyed the Angellus character (evil angel).
The king is so dark though, I bloody love it, I love that he thinks the vampire league is working with Eric too.

They aren't.
This. They told him that they wanted the King dead, but haven't given him any means to do it. They aren't protecting Eric or anything.
Mind you, that was all said before the King pulled out the spine of the newspresenter live on tv.

In the past month I’ve watched from the beginning and have now caught up with the latest episode.

One thing I have wondered. When people drink V they are fecked off their faces. How come when Sookie drinks V direct from the source she doesn’t trip etc... Also because she drinks V she now has a special connection to both Bill and Eric. Does this mean that people who do V have that connection as well even though they don’t necessarily know where it came from. For example Jason and his missus in season 1

Anyone know when season 3 starts on FX? Can't wait for Dexter this week!

When Jason and his missus did V they mixed it with pills to make it more intense, so that's why. Sookie drinks straight from the source, which heals and gives strength.

I dont think these need to be spoilered because its really a discussion form the previous 2 seasons and not the 3rd.

The 1st time Jason does V it is not mixed with anything, and he takes a tiny tube full. And he is fecked for a couple of days.

You would think that with Sookie drinking loads she would be too

There have always been loads of plot holes regarding V. The writers just manipulate the effects of it for different situations.

I've just always attributed it to Sookies special powers.

Well no, there's loads of other plot holes. Lafayette drank loads of Erics blood in the second season, it healed him but that was it.

S3:
Also those werewolves were drinking loads directly from Bill and didn't have any of the problems Jason had when he took a shot.

Also the King, a 3,000 year old vampire gave them all large shots of it.

Lafayette said in Season 1 that you're only supposed to take a drop of the stuff, which is what Jason and his bird at the time did and it had them in dreamland.

They just change the amount of V needed or whatever depending on how it suits a current situation. The whole concept of V is a massive plot hole.

In real news, Steven Moyer and Anna Paquinn got married yesterday.

The thing with the V is simple. If a person is injured and in need of help they will require more blood, however to get a high one drop is all that is needed. If someone is healthy and takes a large amount of V they'll end up like Jason did in season 1.

I really enjoyed last nights episode, it may not have been as action filled as the last episode, but it explored all the characters, and created the story enough for the final two episodes. This has been the best season so far for me.

Read my spoiler tag, there was a lot more than 'one drop' taken.

They were also warewolves and not Humans. Who's to know how much blood is needed for a supernatural?
