Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I think it was the CL game at the Nou Camp last season that sowed the seeds, not Veratti.

Veratti just tipped the balance.

Fixed.

PSG pissed all over Barca this summer. Neymar, Seri and now their Di Maria demands.

PSG have really really walked all over Barcelona this summer. Even messing up the Seri deal with Nice which is wonderfully petty.

My guess is PSG strung them along until the last minute and then dropped out on the most whimsical reason

Hope we got Pereira signed to a contract, otherwise he'll leave for very little come next summer.

I hope we've agreed a new contract with him, if he can force his way into the Valencia team, who are of much higher quality than Granada then we know he's the real deal.

Let's be realistic here, he is a really good player with a lot of potential but he isn't better than our first team players right now. He'd get the league cup games here and a few games here and there filling in when there are injuries/suspensions. It looks like Valencia see him as a key player for them so he'll likely play every week, it'll be a good move for all parties involved imo.

Can't say I'm too impressed with Andreas having another loan year in La Liga. If anything, a season on loan to another Premier League club would have been the most beneficial to his development as a United player.

Valenica aren't that great a club these days. If they were, they wouldn't be loaning inexperienced players like Pereira.

Was hoping he'd stay this season, but if Valencia have really promised he'd be a key player in their team, then it's a decent move I guess.

Very much this.
Who would you play him ahead of? Mkhi? Martial? Rashford? It certainly wouldn't be Pogba or Matic. He needs to play as a first choice player in a decent team in a good league or he won't go anywhere. You don't suddenly turn into a first team player by spending a season on the bench and getting the odd Carabao Cup game. Even if we presume that he would get a game in any midfield position, we already have Pogba, Matic, Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhi, Young, Lingard, Martial and Rashford vying for 5 spots in the team.
This isn't Football Manager. You can't just play a second string XI whenever you have a home game against Burnley or Brighton.

He's on loan...

I understand that, but given how keen he was not to go on loan this season, I can't help but think this is the end of the road for him at United.

Hes unfortunate that we're decently stocked in this area, but I still think he'd have got a good number of games for us this season.

He'll have a much bigger chance to make an impact in our first team next season when Carrick and Fellaini probably won't be at the club anymore.

What was the point in upgrading his number if we was going to loan him out. Surely he could of got some game time here.

Why are people acting like Pereira is some sort of super talent and sad to see him loaned out/sold.

200 mil isnt much if you check the type of payments they offered to Liverpool. Not 100% sure but they made 80 mil bid in 5 year to be paid off, while they got 200 mil instant from PSG, feck them.
