Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I'm going to bed now. Look forward to scrolling through this thread in the morning.

Never ceases to amaze me the stupidity clubs show to leave it until the last day to try and do big deals.

After all the excitement Liverpool have ended up with Chamberlain:)

Fair play on keeping Coutinho though

Just bid 50m and offer Lingard United. Arsenal will accept, they are fragile.

I assume the thought is that a player who wants out is easy to unsettle when they know the deadline is looming- which is why I'm sure this thing works both ways- the club selling needs to find another player and club who s willing to knee jerk along with it.

Lemar would be able to join a better club if he stays at Monaco this season, so rejecting a move to Arsenal makes sense.

Liverpool fans going to pretend it was a good window despite them not addressing any of their outstanding issues? Shit keeper, shit defence and no squad depth.

Any window looks good compared to Arsenal I suppose. What a shambles.

Simon Jordan looking like the spitting image of The Interceptor from the shortlived gameshow of the same name.

Selling Sanchez is addition by subtraction and in that case it´s 75M. Arsenal are dumb not to sell, regardless of Draxler or Lemar.

What a rubbish transfer deadline day this is. Not a single mega deal has gone through.

Good news for us. Still hope we sneak in Perisic/Mahrez/Willian type of deal before midnight. Would be very confident then. Griezmann next summer along with a full back :D

Nope. as things stand it's been awful.

Pep is in a panic. Got endless players in that position and they've supposedly wanted Sanchez for ages and now they move. Whenever he gets a little anxious he just gets the chequebook. Very reckless in my opinion.

I wonder if this is Arsenal playing a smart game. Tell Sanchez he can leave on the condition that the Lemar deal gets done first. Yet, having chased Lemar all summer they probably know how unlikely it is he'll arrive before the deadline. This way it looks like they've given Sanchez what he wants and it's not their fault that he left it so late to try and force through a move.

Best case scenario for Arsenal would be to sign Lemar and somehow keep Sanchez as well.
