Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

This is all fair from the Spurs players, but you have to wonder if they just have rubbish agents or what because they continually sign 5 and 6 year deals for low money. Perhaps they are falling for the trick of Levy's famous 'gentleman's agreement' that they will be allowed to leave if they want to and valuation is met.

If he does end up going to PSG, £360m+ for two players is insane. Even if they win the CL this season it's only £60m in prize money.
Will be even more interesting if either of these two players ever want to leave. This is one club who definitely don't need the money.

It's not about the money, PSG literally pump money out of the ground. It's like water to them.

Probably the only way they leave (if they maintain a high level of performance) is by running down their contracts.

They don't care about prize money

They want to establish themselves as one of the real big clubs and need to win the CL to have some serious bragging rights.

From a commercial perspective there will be an increase for them in sponsorship, tv-rights and shirt sales for sure but never in line with how much they paid for these 2 players but that is ok for them as they have their Qatar owners pay for it.

They don't care about profits. It's all about bragging rights

This just makes me want them to flop in the CL even more. As long as Madrid, Barca or PSG (plus Liverpool but...highly unlikely anyway) don't win it, I'm happy.

Coutinho hands in transfer request!
Lol. This is going to unsettle the scum before the season starts. If they sell him after their statement they look like idiots. If they don't, they have an unsettled player(s).

Liverpool would be mad not to sell. Their squad is terrible and with the ridiculous fee Barcelona are proposing they'd be able to strengthen key areas. Coutiniho is an important player for them but he isn't the Cantona figure people seem to be making him out to be. He goes missing all of the time. How they can turn down the 2nd biggest transfer fee is beyond me. I expect he will go in the coming weeks.

Hang on, I thought he only wanted to go if it was amicable?

Or was that only if it was amicable and he still got his own way?

Probably terrified that next season there will be more top notch players available and Barca will look elsewhere. He wants to take the chance when it is available. Can't blame him for that really.

they won't win the CL this year or next. even with these two, I still think Real (or even Barca) are capable of taking them

Seeing the Neymar's move and potential Mbappe move to PSG with these ridiculous fees just take something out of me. It's like nothing be the same anymore with football.

I think football with be less and less about Football as we know it but will be just some playground for the ultra riches use to enhance their image/reputation.

Think if nothing be done to kinda curb these ridiculous spending most of the traditional big clubs will not be able to compete and might become irrelevant. Nowadays, I kinda don't care much about anything football related except Man Utd.

"Sky sources" might as well be The Sun these days. I'll wait for a reliable source before I get giddy. Still think this will end up with a new contract, release clause and a transfer next summer, like Suarez.

Agree 110%.

Once in a lifetime opportunity. He is too good for Liverpool. If Barca sign alternatives, they wont want him
