Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

He's probably right.

Sky TV's viewer numbers are shrinking, they've had to rebrand and repackage in the past month, wage increases have been lagging behind inflation this year and with Brexit looming expensive Sky TV deals may be the first to get cut out of household budgets etc... It's not implausible to think that football is in a somewhat precarious position.

Premier league attraction/viewership is growing like a weed in the States. Globally it will keep rocketing I bet. Sports is pretty much the last thing that people will watch live, and carries tremendous value.

Sounding more and more like we're looking at other options and suddenly Inter are panicking they won't be making the money from selling Perisic like they hoped. I still think we'll go back in for him if nothing else opens up.

They sound desperate now..
Thats twice now he's gone on record about "reluctantly" selling Perisic, no way inter could do without even 40 mil with the way Milan are operating this summer. I'd say United are waiting to see what happens with Mbappe before making a move now.

Hope we stitch Inter up over Perisic and wrap up a quick deal for someone else. Obviously, like Morata, it's a shame for the player but they deserve it after demanding OTT money.

Jose jumped the gun and got rid off Memphis 6 months too early or we would have gotten a decent free for him this summer, inter or AC would have taken him off us easily for 40 odd million in todays market.

ARSENAL LATEST

Where do Arsenal stand with their transfer plans?

  • We are told talks between Monaco and Arsenal are continuing over the transfer of Thomas Lemar. Discussions centre on the size of the fee and the structure of the payments.
  • There is an expectation Paris Saint-Germain will make a bid for Alexis Sanchez, but Arsenal's stance remains the same - he's not for sale and he will be at the club next season.
  • Lucas Perez talks are continuing with former club Deportivo La Coruna over a fee.
  • Arsenal are also in discussions with Crystal Palace over Calum Chambers. The Gunners' valuation is thought to be £20m.
  • Jean Michael Seri has again been linked with Arsenal.

The midfielder enjoyed an excellent campaign for Nice and only Thomas Lemar - another Gunners other target - managed more assists in Ligue 1.

According to L'Equipe, Nice have agreed to let the 26-year-old leave for €40m this summer. Roma were keen to finalise a deal, but couldn't meet the release clause.

MAN UTD LATEST

  • Sky in Italy say Manchester United are favourites to sign Chelsea's Nemanja Matic after Juventus switched their attention to PSG's Blaise Matuidi. Matic isn't on the club's pre-season tour and may find his chances at Stamford Bridge limited next season following the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko.
  • We understand the attacking player Jose Mourinho is after is Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, but the Italian club continue to play hard ball.
CHELSEA LATEST

  • Diego Costa looks set to leave Chelsea but his preferred move to former club Atletico Madrid is complicated by a transfer ban. Sky in Italy are reporting Costa's agent Jorge Mendes met with AC Milan directors yesterday.
  • Chelsea remain interested in Juventus left-back Alex Sandro. Juve are reluctant sellers and have offered the Brazilian international a new contract. It is thought Chelsea would need to spend £60m to have any chance of getting Sandro.
  • Inter value Antonio Candreva at £20m and the player's agent 80% chance he will remain at the San Siro.
  • Swansea's Fernando Llorente is still on Chelsea's list. Antonio Conte knows him from their time together at Juventus and he tried to sign the striker in January

TRANSFER HEADLINES

  • Reports in Spain suggest Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho has agreed terms to join Barcelona. Liverpool have already turned down a £70m offer and say Coutinho is not for sale.
  • A source close to Virgil van Dijk thinks he could join Liverpool. The Reds' stance hasn't changed, having apologised for what Southampton described as an unauthorised approach for the Dutchman and ended their interest in the player.
  • Talks continue between Everton and Swansea continue for Gylfi Sigurdsson but the clubs are still far apart in their valuations. Swansea won't sell for less than £50m but Everton's package so far totals £40m.
  • Tottenham are interested in Hoffenheim right back Jeremy Toljan, but the player's agent says there has been no contact yet.
  • Roma are expected to go back in for Riyad Mahrez, having so far offered only half of Leicester's £40m valuation.

Holy feck! That's interesting.

bullshit but makes sense on one account. Instead of paying 50 mil plus Martial for Perisic we could spend 30 mil more on Bale. Same age, better quality.
exactly rather then paying £50 million to Inter for Perisic or a Matic i rather we add 30 odd million more and sign Sanchez or Bale (players that guarantee we challenge for the title).

expecting Perisic to somehow sort out all our attacking issues next season is wishful thinking, can Bale or Sanchez be a fix absolutely yes

He's a one in the generation talent. Clubs think of him as the next Messi. I remember there were stories last season about City/Spurs trying to buy him for 40-50m Euros when he didn't even played much.
Watching a youtubes of him, he reminds me more of a young Ronaldo (the original one)

My word that little scrotum has no shame. He just hedges his bets every time someone reliable (Di Marzio) has a update regarding a player.

He's worse than Tancredi. If fact I'd say Tancredi is on the road to redemption. Deleany has talked nothing but horse shit all fecking year.

Lewandowski - he linked us with - this summer, remember? He also said that the Perisic fee was only 'few million apart' literally hours before the story broke that they wanted Martial. He's a fecking fraud, who loses his mind if you try to question him on Twitter.

That would be an important point if it were not for the fact that the vast majority of Sky customers are not on Jobseekers allowance. People who are employed will make that decision since they are used to managing their money.

Well I've got a decent job but am seriously thinking of letting SKY go due to feeling the economic pinch.

Mbappé moved to the Madrid only sign if they clear the land selling 1 member of the BBC. Florentino doubt: Bale or Christian?

Diego Torres is very very reliable.

Why not Benzema?
He seems like the weakest link in the BBC

Please let it be Ronnie... either case its a win win for "whoever" would sign them

joking aside I can't see either of Ronaldo or Bale wanting to move to Monaco to grease the deal.
