Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Why is this not true? The only thing a player like Großkreutz was able to offer this Dortmund side was his work-rate and if Perisic would have been better at this point there would have been any reason for putting him on the bench. He has much more capabilities than Großkreutz in terms of end product etc. but still was benched for him due to the requiered power-house for pressing, cover etc.

Yes, he works hard but if this is enough to be a 50m player and become "United's best winger" it's still poor from us..

Yes because we don't have any decent wingers

Dier and £60m in one sentence just does not sit right with me. That sort of money should be buying you Alexis or other proven goalscorers not freaking DM.
It's crazy. Only thing I can think of is him being what 24? and that he can play for many years. If he delivers that's a decent investment.

Isn't that the point, we need something different, we need someone who can play LW if Shaw is injured and Darmian is playing LB. Someone who will add width by themselves like Valencia on the right
Peresic also has a decent goal record too.
If he's being bought to be back to Shaw then I'm fine by that. But £40mil or more. I'm not one to moan about prices usually but we are going to over pay by quite a bit for this guy.

Strange that this is the transfer you draw the line at.

Paying above Fellaini's release clause will always be a personal favourite.
I wasn't on the Caf when we signed him. But even in the case of Fellaini it was a desperation signing made at the last moment when everything else failed. But paying 48 million for Perisic as a properly planned transfer defies belief.

No hes being bought to add a different option/dynamic to our wing. He can play LW RW and is very different to all of our current wingers in that he is direct and will go to the out side and deliver balls into the box.

Ricardo Rodriguez is average? :wenger:

Silva, Conti & Kessie alone are great signings. It is a young and talented group already, moreover all in one window - its rather unheard of I think. They close on Belotti or Aubameyang and I would say they will easily have the best offseason of any big club in Europe this summer

Yeah we heard that with Bastian Morgan Memphis Darmain Martial and Blind. Now 3 of them are away and the 3 others are struggling to get in the starting 11. Time will tell.

If Citeh strengthen their biggest title rival, they might look really stupid at the end of the season.

I truly believe that City agreeing to sell us Aguero would be the equivalent of Arsenal selling you guys RvP. They surely can't be that stupid?

I'd rather pay less for potential than pay 40plus million for someone who can cross a ball. Not paying attention to potential is why we ended up paying what we did for Pogba

So much wrong with this post

Why would City want to sell to Chelsea? Unless they think he's done with regards to injuries and pace but he looked fine end of last season.

Not like they need the money

29, injured quite a bit, and Jesus is tactically a better fit. Good chance to get £60 mil + whilst they still can.

City and Pep could end up with eggs on their face if Ageuro fires Chelsea to another title.

Don't see Pep or City want to risk that

City aren't going to sell a player like Aguero to a direct rival in the league, forget it.

Chelsea are wasting their time.
