Matic isn't going to be a starter at juve with pjanic khedira and marchisio in the team.
He won't have a starting spot in the team once Bakayoko signs.
Oh yeah I know that could happen, however if it does it means we finally move on to other targets which brings us one step closer to it being wrapped up.
No matter where Matic goes it will speed things up for ourselves.
And it will transpire that we were never in for him in the first place.

Err, no, if they keep Matic then they have no need to buy Bakayoko. They are having to replace Matic because he wants to leave.
So, I repeat, why is he so keen to leave the reigning PL champions?
I don't think that's the case. I think it's a mixture of Chelsea looking to add abit more youth to their midfield combined with Matic being quite limited.
Bakayoko will get up and down the pitch a lot more than Matic which in a 343 makes sense

He actually was one of the few who loved mourinho seemingly during his time there. That plus the pay rise plus he probably doesn't want to risk losing his place with Bakayoko involved.
Seems very odd that they'd replace him with a lesser player in Bakayoko though.

Yes but now the problem becomes them setting an unrealistic price. Perisic will force his way out no doubt but we will have to fork over quite a bit for a player who in my estimation is not worth anything more than 30m.
But again, they set the price so if we want him that badly, we pay what they want.

Matic needs to force a move to us. Just refuse to go to Juve. Chelsea will not want to keep a player in last 2 years of contract not playing. He value will be rock bottom next year. We will get him, if he wants to move to us.

Would help if Perisic made his intentions to leave known to Inter (if he hasn't done so already). But as you said its up to Inter, they don't need to sell so we have to pay. Makes me wonder if we are trying to keep the costs down as much as possible as the fees may be required elsewhere and while we could easily pay Inter what they want we are trying not to. Besides it making good business sense obviously.

Matic & Perisic aren't great signing in my opinion. However if Jose is that adamant on getting them, I will accept it.
He wants Perisic to do a certain job. Matic has played in a side that apart from Jose's last year, is used to winning.
Hopefully this means we are in for someone better!
I think Perisic would surprise a good few people, Matic doesn't have to be great, he just needs to be good and allow Pog and Harry to be great.
