Juventus are apparently going strongly for Matic at the moment, might not be straight forward still!
Matic isn't going to be a starter at juve with pjanic khedira and marchisio in the team.

He won't have a starting spot in the team once Bakayoko signs. Why is Matic so keen to leave Chavs then?

Not with Matic it appears. The article says that Chelsea are even more reluctant to selling Matic to us after the Lukaku deal hijacking. And with the Walker transfer, I don't think Spurs will entertain a Dier bid either, so our options seem to be drying out.

Err, no, if they keep Matic then they have no need to buy Bakayoko. They are having to replace Matic because he wants to leave.
So, I repeat, why is he so keen to leave the reigning PL champions?
I don't think that's the case. I think it's a mixture of Chelsea looking to add abit more youth to their midfield combined with Matic being quite limited.
Bakayoko will get up and down the pitch a lot more than Matic which in a 343 makes sense
What's funny is despite how crazy to fees are now compared to even 3-4 years ago, Andy Carol at £35m still looks like the most overpriced, worst signing of all time.
Why is Matic so keen to leave Chavs then?
Think that's madness, if Sigurdsson moves to Everton he'll cost more than Bonucci!Just thinking about how Kyle Walker cost almost double what we paid for Eden Hazard just a few years ago is mind boggling.
Good signing for City but the fee is utter madness.
Yes but now the problem becomes them setting an unrealistic price. Perisic will force his way out no doubt but we will have to fork over quite a bit for a player who in my estimation is not worth anything more than 30m.Bit of a change from yesterdays "not entertaining any deal" if they now "set price".
3 at the back limits the need for a DM and I don't particularly rate Bakayoko but if Conte can improve his concentration levels a lot he can be very good.He actually was one of the few who loved mourinho seemingly during his time there. That plus the pay rise plus he probably doesn't want to risk losing his place with Bakayoko involved.
Seems very odd that they'd replace him with a lesser player in Bakayoko though.
He's actually a Villa supporter who seems to be the main Chelsea mouthpiece. I've learned not to take what he says very seriously this summer because he's linked us with about 25 different players.Matt Law loves Chelsea
Those damn siestas take a lot of time out of the regular work week.Next month? What is it with those feckers and late august bids?

But again, they set the price so if we want him that badly, we pay what they want.
Would he actually play? They have a good midfield already. All these teams playing clever with us. Well when you really want one of our players, desperately want one of our players, just see what happens.
He wants Perisic to do a certain job. Matic has played in a side that apart from Jose's last year, is used to winning.Matic & Perisic aren't great signing in my opinion. However if Jose is that adamant on getting them, I will accept it.

If we don't our targets. He might just go with Fellaini and someone like Young.Hopefully this means we are in for someone better!
He fell out with the Juve manager and players, nothing else to see. He nearly left last year too. This isn't sitting well with me. There's something going on here.
My bad. Didn't know that. Did he want to stay in Italy? Is that why no one else was really in for him?He fell out with the Juve manager and players, nothing else to see. He nearly left last year too.
Caf's prayers will be answered and we will end up with Fabinho. It is certain that he is third choice, behind Matic and Dier.If we don't our targets. He might just go with Fellaini and someone like Young.
Do you listen to everything you read in the papers?Snubbed again

Yes apparently he has an ill son, his wife wanted to stay in Italy. My bad. Didn't know that. Did he want to stay in Italy? Is that why no one else was really in for him?
