Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

In that case may as well throw 150M at ASM and see how deep Real's pockets really are. They want to play hard ball over their players, so lets dance.

We cant be letting this lad join the arsenal. Wouldn't do that to my worst enemy, the lad deserves better than that.

-------------------Lukaku----------------
------------Hazard------------
---------------Cesc-----------------------
Alex Sandro----Kante----Bakayoko----Moses
---------Van Dijk-----Luiz---------Azpilicueta
------------------Courtois-------------------

William, Pedro, Matic, Alonso, Cahill etc as depth.

I don't get it, why would Chelsea fans want a new LWB when Alonso looked so good last season? Don't you think getting a RWB instead of Moses is a bit more urgent?

Van Dijk would be a significant upgrade on Cahill, Alex Sandro is arguably the best LB in the world currently, Bakayoko is a nice upgrade on Matic, and Lukaku isn't a red card worry every match like Costa. Won't be threatening to leave every transfer window either.

Moses would still be a weakness against the better sides. You're also right about Hazard's injury, but he should miss too much of the early season.

Significantly improved team if they all come off. Midfield will be the most important area for me.

I don't think Bakayoko is an upgrade on Matic and Alex Sandro doesn't look like the best left back in the world IMO. Decent players but you're overrating then.

Alonso is very nice going forward, good set piece taker, and in certain defensive situations he's solid. But he's painfully slow and awkward against quality wide players who run at him. He struggles against the better teams because of this.

As for Moses, yes, I would've thought his place was more under threat than Alonso's.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sold on Bakayoko at this moment. From what I've watched of him he offers everything Matic does but is far more athletic and comfortable on the ball. Exactly what is needed. He certainly seems to be a Conte choice so I'll obviously trust his eye rather than people on the internet saying he's shite.

He's desperate for a move to a top club it seems. Second time name dropping us with regards to a move. Imo this makes it very clear we are not interested.

eh, he was asked a question about us. It's not like he brought us up himself.

The reporter asked how'd he feel if Mourinho, much like he did with Morata, made a move for him and his answer was quite reasonable, said he'd speak with his agent and with Monaco to make sure everything is right first, but that yes, that it would be very tempting because we are a massive club. Then the reporter said something like "say no more, I see how your eyes lit up", and he just laughed it off

Transfer rumours for Manchester United are as dead as disco.

so to everyone who's been saying mbappe is the next this or that- if arsenal sign him do they go on to dominate football and back to winning leagues etc? no they dont.
not quite as nailed on if he isn't joining Real Madrid or Barca level of club. it would be the same risk if he joined us. its just you can see the risk far more clearly with those examples. i dont think he will sign for arsenal but its worth mentioning that any good striker would do well for real, especially in the league and considering to the fact they can already add pretty much any other player they want/need to the squad too.

the Juve scout? is this the guy who picked up pogba and vidal for peanuts?

Juve scouting manager Javier Ribalta to leave the club and join Man Utd

Good stuff. This guy was the head of scouting for Juve in the last five years. Their recruitment is top class.
