Depends on who we plan to use as CBs. Bailly, Lindelof, Rojo, Smalling, Jones, Tuanzebe. Blind, Darmian and Shaw as LBs is underwhelming but I think the club wants to give Shaw one more chance to see if he can make it.

Why? If we get Morata for under 70mill then thats 100 million for a winger and a DM that covers Perisic and Fabinho easily and reports suggest Shaw gets a second crack at a starting spot so we dont really need a LB.
 
If we spend 50m on Eric Dier I shall be very unhappy and I'm usually the guy wondering why people are unhappy about transfer fees.

I could stomach Matic as he's a handy player but I would never understand not going for Fabinho when he's better, available, probably cheaper, wants United and seems just an around perfect fit.

I guess when we have Shaw, Rojo, Young, Blind, Darmian who can all play left back, it's not the most pressing concern. Although not sure why we are looking for a winger over a LB...
 
Bayern just bought Tolliso for 40m and we're looking at Perisic for 50? We need to be a little more creative with our spending. Hoping there's at least 1 surprise signing this summer because all the linked players, bar Linedolof, are underwhelming.

Out of interest, have you ever seen Lindelof play? I've never seen him play, know nothing about him, so would say he's the absolute epitome of underwhelming compared to a Morata who at least is a goalscorer from a top team.

I don't understand how you can say you're underwhelmed but at the same time admit you nothing about how he plays.

Reading through the account, could easily just be a Di Marzio copy cat, very easy to do! but usually these accs get a lot of hate & for one that's been going for a few years, mostly positive.

Because the top name signings you're familiar with are the muppet tastic dream.

Signing players you don't know is underwhelming.

Often they can be the best signings though, versus your Di Maria, Falcaos etc.
But i'm picking out how Lindelof can be counted as some sort of exciting one, and the other names underwhelming.
 
Is Mohamed Salah the same fella I vaguely remember being very average at Chelsea a couple of years back?

because we lack an out and out winger. none of Martial, Mata, Miki and Lingard are natural wingers. and we need to strengthen our attack over LB. we have plenty of options there. I'm actually pretty fine with Darmian there, given Jose's insistence that one of the fullbacks needs to be more defensive.

Depends on player to player and of course the price you have to pay.

This is so wrong. I have been following caf for 3 yrs now and he predicted everything correctly. Even when there were no credible links to Pogba last year, he came out and said we definitely have a chance.

And now when he got ag7 wrong just because of the turn of events, people label him as a bullshitter. Give the guy some break!
