Miguel Ángel Gil cena con Fabinho y su representante http://ver.as/wls0o1

We all know he's been a fan of Smalling's since he failed to sign him from Fulham and this could be a win-win situation for both teams and Wenger wouldn't be forced to swallow his pride and make a deal with us, he will get something he wants in return.

REAL MADRID | The Morata sale will close in the next few days. The agreement is almost total

Saw this news a few hours ago - I don't think that he will want to jeopardise his WC chances by being cup-tied in the UCL due to Atleti's transfer ban. Also, his wife did mention that they would be in Madrid till Thursday. Mendes is his agent after all, so could be just a dinner.

We seem quite determined for this guy when there are better left wingers out there we could get for the same/less money. I wonder if it's because we're looking at him for LB too?

I know we can afford it but that is a bit too much for my liking.

I quite like the clips I've seen of him and I think I would enjoy watching him play but surely we can get someone younger for that amount?

I don't mind Perisic as a player but the whole thing is starting to annoy me. If Inter don't want to take our money I'd prefer not to chase after them. He's not worth it. I hope we're working on alternatives.

I think there is zero chance we're paying 50-60m EUR for him and I really doubt he was ever our #1 target at all. He might be a name further down the list that we've done some groundwork on or this might just have been his agent/Inter trying to drum up some interest.

Don't Inter have to find big money very soon for something?

Could it be them driving any potential deal going?

We're just waiting to get close to 30 June I reckon. Inter needs to raise 30m Euros before it, and that's helping us in negotiations.

What do they need to raise 30m for?

We can do with less posts like this.

Was just mentioning it because last week this manager said he wouldn't stand in way of anyone who wants to leave and now he supposedly vetoed the transfer of perisic who clearly wants to leave? And plus Tanc is someone who does make up a lot of stuff (his hashtag during the pogba saga #145 thing)

Could be bs too, but if it's true, we simply should forget Perisic. That's 50% overprice and he's not a player we desperately need. I actually don't care how much we spend but at least we should put that extra money to player we really need and who would upgrade our squad. Payet cost under 30 million euros and he's at least one tier above Perisic. Average 28 years old squad players doesn't cost 50 million even in 2017.

Exactly this. For all the people banging on about how this is just how the market is now, exactly zero non-exceptional squad players have ever been signed for 44m+ GBP. The worst players ever signed for such an amount are David Luiz and Raheem Sterling, but the rest of the list is filled with elite players.

All of those words and all he manages to do is link us to the same 3 players everybody else is, suggest we want to sign a DM and reveal the astounding detail that other clubs charge United more than normal because they know they're completely wedged. Genius

This is how big clubs complete a transfer. Day 1: Linked. Day 2: Comment. Day 3: Confirmed. Day 4: Signed.
Of course it's all very different if you're signing players with exorbitant fees. With image rights, sponsorship deals and lastly and more importantly if selling club chooses to drag the transfer to command a higher price.
