As if we were haggling over the Pedro fee

This is as good as confirmation we weren't interested.

Woody in the next 36 hours

I think this will happen, but only through bad planning. Think we'll be throwing money at everyone now.

More than Aguero and Sanchez

Bloody hell what a large fee. Makes you think if the club accept the valuation, why did they leave it until the end of the window..

We do what we want. Plus Woody wanted to show he can do a deal in 24 hours, you know even though he overspend like a bellend.

Woody has made a right mess of another transfer window....we don't need potential we need the here and now!
He's messed it up by buying the players van Gaal has asked him to buy? We've signed some absolutely quality players this summer, stop being a complete muppet.

It's a lot of money but our overall spend will basically just be this transfer after all the outgoings. £45m or whatever it converts as and it's not like it affects us one bit (the club or us as fans). All we need to do is hope he's a real quality starlet.

Why bring a proven player then if all his attributes will be restrained to fit the process?

Good point but it would still be nice to see the likes of a Griezmann etc joining the club before seeing them revert to prochesh.

Wow! Let's hope he justifies that price tag.
For that money he better be coming in and scoring a hat trick every bloody game. If the kid comes in and doesn't perform I really won't know what to think..

You do realise he will need time?

Shit that is quite a lot actually. How is it that we always spend so much on players, but always sell players for feck all? Nani, Rafa, Hernandez, Evra, Van Persie all going for a very low amount. The only players we seem to have done alright on are Evans and Di Maria.

I'm guessing it's the huge wages that most of those players are on that hinder the selling price.

Sugar daddy clubs like PSG can afford to pay large fees and wages but for most clubs it's one or the other.

Or we're panic! buying.
LVG said we're not buying players who haven't been scouted before. Just because his name hasn't been mentioned in the papers doesn't mean we're not entirely confident he can do the job. You don't drop that kind of money on a vague gamble.

Ahh but that's a lot of money for a teenager most of us haven't heard of. Seems odd were buying him now though. I suspect it's because we've not exactly been scoring left right and centre this season.

I know the Transfer Window SLAMS SHUT! in Europe today and SLAMS SHUT! in England tomorrow, but does that mean tomorrow we can still buy from places where the window has SLAM SHUT! today?

He said he knew about Romero, that isn't exactly a great sign.

€80m is nearly £60m... that's ridiculous.
That potential fee will include a lot of clauses such as us winning the league, the CL and goals scored etc. It's unlikely to ever be that amount, and if it is it means we'll have done fecking brilliantly as a team and he's been a huge success.

It's 60 million euros, not 80. It may never reach 80 million as the bonuses will most probably be spread out in the future depending on his and our achievements.

Or we're panic! buying.

Didnt you know that we followed his progress since the age of 14? we just decided to buy him on the last 2 days of the transfer window, because you know we threw money at Müller and Bale for weeks, without realising that they may not want the move.

Yes. Just the other clubs cant, which is a bit of a problem, because they cant bring in a replacement.

Reports from France have been a bit crazy with different figures banded around and rumours of Rojo going the other way. I'd wait and see on the fee, fact is he's already on the way to Manchester which suggests that negotiations have been a lot more straightforward.

Indeed. I reckon we've been following him since the day he was conceived. (nice...).

Yes. Our window SLAMS SHUT! tomorrow but we can still buy player from places where the window has already SLAM SHUT! as long as our window hasn't SLAM SHUT! yet.

This, if it truly is €60m base I would think the bonuses are for such huge achievements (win PL, CL etc.) that we really won't care.

Monaco are taking us to the cleaners with the Martial deal! Leaving it to the last day of the transfer window after losing to Swansea.

Monaco had all the cards, stupid strategy from the club. I blame Van Gaal, looks he was going to depend on Hernandez for the season but changed his mind after Brugge game. Now, we spend all the AdM money on a 19 yr old

At this point the idea of us passing up on the offer of Pedro is a worse thought than messing the deal up.

Either way we messed up somehow to get to the last day of the window and splashing the cash
