Not buying this Ibrahimovic nonsense. For one, he won't move to Manchester, secondly, he's not going to be able to work with Rooney

You his agent?

So you saying we should refuse to sign any decent striker because they wont work with Rooney?

Rooney knows he would walk in the team every week currently. He needs good competition and on current form needs dropping. But we cant drop him because we got nobody to replace him with.

I agree, but maybe the manager has fallen out with Rojo, after all that nonsense about missing the pre-season tour of the U.S.? LVG can be a bit temperamental where players are concerned, but it would seem a less than logical thing to do so late in the window.

I don't think there's any problem there. It's probably just that they're trying to build up his fitness as has been the case with all the players who aren't in game shape. Apparently he played 60 mins in the u21 friendly against Ajax so I think we could see him at least make the bench soon.

Rooney doesn't need someone to work with, he needs someone to compete with for the center forward position and be dropped for if he isn't delivering.

That will be good news. I hope de gea is professional and plays after international week. Romero was at fault for 2nd goal. United need de gea to stand a chance of doing anything in this season.

They have probably been 100% sure he wasn't signing for them around 6 weeks ago as well.

Yeah, lets get Zlatan, him and LVG will be at each other throats in few monts but at least he'll score goals in that few months.

They had their problems in the past.

But I recall people were saying that Rooney and LVG will fight in the first few months. I wished it was true, but it's been anything but that.

Maybe Ibra will be our new Falcao in the sense of loaning a wc striker (or passed wc striker in the Falcao story) but I hope he would turn out to be better than Falcao. :)

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says the situation surrounding David De Gea’s future is now out of his hands.

The Spanish goalkeeper, who has yet to feature for United this season, looks set to join Real Madrid before the transfer window closes.

United lost their first Premier League game of the season to Swansea City on Sunday and questions were raised about the performance of Sergio Romero.

Van Gaal hinted an announcement about De Gea could be imminent and but was coy on whether United will buy a replacement goalkeeper or a striker before Tuesday’s deadline.

“I don’t want to interfere as a manager,” said Van Gaal.

“You have to wait and see until Manchester United make announcements or the club he is going to make announcements. Otherwise he stays.

“We have divided our task and the task is for Ed Woodward, not for me. I have said nothing, the club shall announce it when it is finished.

“You can never speak as a club like Manchester United that you are satisfied because it is a process and certainly we shall not buy at the end of the transfer window another player than we have scouted before.

“We know already in advance what is happening and what is not happening. We have to keep on and in January the windows are open again. It’s a process and I cannot change that progress.

“You are dependable not only from the player but also the club and what you want to spend. It’s a lot of things you cannot force.”

So now he's shite? Jeez!
So you want us to spend buck loads of cash on someone who's no doubt has potential but till now has proved feck all ?

If we're looking for young players with potential then instead of spending useless money we'd be better off giving play time to Wilson. And to think it's last day of transfer window they will fleece us crazy.

Anyway our requirement imo is not signing someone with potential but to get proven ST.

Think we should just offer them Valdes for free or loan them Fellaini, Januzaj or Perreira for a year.

This.

If our attackers were banging them in, I would be all for Martial signing. There would be no pressure on him.

But we need someone who can get us goals now. Not in the future.

He needs competition as you say, a real kick up the backside. I am hating this molly coddling of Rooney.

It seems the blame game has already started, a week ago it was one team but now it appears they have divided tasks on transfers.

I disagree. He meant that when it comes to the actual deals Ed handles that. He's said that before too. Not the first time he's said it.

It's gonna get fecking silly in here now for a couple of days isn't it.
Well, even more silly I mean. Sillier, if you will.

I doubt we have scouted Falcao last season. You do not need to scout Zlatan.

6pm tuesday needs to hurry the feck up!
