I don't like it when the fee is too big. Puts pressure on the player to perform. If Memphis was £50m there would be serious questions about him. Although I do agree with you to some extent. When fans say ''Would have him for 15 million but 20 is too much" as though they are going to have to pay themselves the extra 5 million.
It's hardly the same though is it? Rooney was what, top scorer or something in a European championship? Henry too scored a decent no.of goals in 98 World Cup. It was clear they weren't just random players but talented youngsters ready to step up. I'm sorry to be judgemental but This guy seems to be a nobody in comparison. Though full disclosure I have never seen him play.
Have people actually watched him play? He's coming from the piss easy French league, and with a hefty price tag. Just look at Depay, and you can see that he's struggling to cope with the league. I really wouldn't want us to spend so much on money on him, unless we're 100% confident he'll come good.

I think Charlie Austin would be a better option than Chicharito to be honest.

Thats the problem, not him. He is well known as one of the best young talents in football. He has also played in the UCL too.
Anyway tbh I don't think, if we sign him, that he will be the only attacker brought in anyway.
