Everyone seems to know Cillessen very well.
True. He was very good in the world cup. The only concern was when LVG subbed him in the penalty shoot-out.

People's whole opinion will be formed at the fact he was taken off for a penalty shootout in the World cup.Everyone seems to know Cillessen very well.
I'm not blaming him at all? I'm saying he hasn't been tested in 5 games so we don't know how good he is, but when it comes to having the ball at his feet, Cillessen is better.
Or maybe we are buying Kane as well and Levy won't let go of him so late in the window.I think we might just have to wait until a top keeper is available. If he does buy Cillessen I wonder if that means LVG doesn't fancy Hugo Lloris.
He hasn't been tested imo, we haven't exactly gone up against the best the prem or europe can offer.
Of course he's been fine so far. I've yet to see how he handles some of the shots de gea was dealing with last year.

Fine with me - that'll be €14 please, thanks
You're on.cool
Not sure if reliable.
He's 6ft3? Always comes across as a small keeper to me like Casillas on screen.Whoever that guy is, he can go feck himself with Cillesen; I just don't rate him at all. Between him and Romero, I would also stick with Romero's 6'3" height.
Source?
it probably is.
feck.

I imagine it's more to do with him constantly punching the ball, batting it away and generally looking more of a shot stopper than a keeper who is going to be good under the high ball and who has a presence in the penalty box (at the WC).People's whole opinion will be formed at the fact he was taken off for a penalty shootout in the World cup.
Cillessen himself is 6ft 2 I believe, hardly a difference worth moaning about.
Has Peter Schmeichel gave his thoughts on Cillessen? He's always spot on with who he thinks is good enough for us and who isnt in terms of keepers.
VDS said a few weeks ago that he isnt good enough for United or something like that. Thats good enough for me.
Romero is 1m92 and Cillessen is 1m88
Romero is 1m92 and Cillessen is 1m88
I literally can't help it.every fecking time
So just over an inch's difference? Negligible really.
For what it's worth, I don't think we will sign Cillessen but if LVG thinks he's the right man then I trust his judgement entirely.
Except for that one wonderful game what a difference that one spot kick made. For all you idiots on here who have formed your opinion on Cillisen purely because LVG took him off for the penos may I remind you the best keeper ever Peter Schmeichel has a woeful PK record.

Van der Sar works for Ajax, he said he wouldn't be surprised if Manchester United were interested in Cillessen. He said he wouldn't like it if we made an offer for him as he would prefer him to stay where he is and that he's very impressed with the personal improvement Cillessen has made. He never said he wasn't good enough.

It's also his Twitter name.To the writer of this twitter: Hernandez is the players surname, Chicharito is his nickname.
Was good in 08/09 and in 2012 and 13. Poor in between and since. People always had doubts about whether he was good enough rather than see him as a reliable defender for lengthy periods of time.Well, that's it then. So much for the unfulfilled potential of someone who was supposed to be Rio and Vidic's best uderstudy.
