Nothing new here..same thing the DDG camp has been harping on all window..nothing in that article to suggest that United's stance has changed.

The only thing new from this is, Scholes was apparently on ITV last night... Lazy.

If we aren't going to go for a big name, established striker, I wouldn't mind seeing a highly rated youngster come in to replace Chico and share game time with Wilson. Martial though should stay with Monaco another season.

Wouldn't mind it at all, don't know too much about Berahino but from what I know he would be a nice 2nd choice striker.
Aye he would, solid competition for Rooney, young enough not to be in a rush to start demanding playing time. Pace in abundance and English to boot.

If we wanted him we'd have done it by now though so I'm not hopeful.

United fan too I heard?
Heard rumours of that as well but I'm never sure how much stock to place in them. There's pictures knocking around of Henderson in a United kit and Gerrard in an Everton one. Still I hear Griezmann is one too. (United not Everton lol)

(This was a failed attempt at embedding a tweet - I forgot I wasn't allowed to post media as part of the newbie trial)

and now I don't know how to delete this post....

Wolfsburg sounding like they are going to suck city dry for kdb. I'm thinking 60 million minimum.

@BobbyManc surely you lot must be fed up with this whole saga by now ? Are you still as keen on him ?

Can't post it here, but has anyone seen the stuff on The Independent about Chelsea's supposed late spree on Stones and Pogba?

Do The Independent post nonsense or are they more like BBC/Guardian?

Definitely lean more towards nonsense. They were the ones who ran the story immediately after we signed Schweinsteiger that we'd dropped our interest in Schneiderlin, 24 hours later he'd signed as well.

They're not too reliable. Besides, Juve president has already said Pogba won't be going anywhere this window and it makes no sense for them to sell both Vidal and Pogba in one window, and lose Pirlo.

According to Telegraph, Manchester United have had no contact from Real Madrid since rejecting an offer for De Gea earlier in the summer.:D

The report also says, LvG is understood to have told the club that he is happy with his current squad and does not believe they must buy. :annoyed:

I think it's more of a ''happy with the squad if no more signings are made'', which is a bit different to be fair.

Van Gaal has said that if no signings are made then he is content to go with what he has got.

The article also states that we retain an interest in Sadio Mane, but know it'll be very difficult to get him, even though we're prepared to pay over £21million.

City are letting one of their brightest talents go for just £8.8m, what a shocker.

Glad Llorente's move is official.

SkyBet will finally pay me now - stuck £20 on this happening a couple of weeks ago @ 5/4

Nope, I still want de Bruyne as much as I did when our interest was first reported, if not more so now. The way the deal is dragging on is frustrating but it's clear de Bruyne wants it to happen and he's not responsible for the delay.

Genuinely disappointed with this news. He's one of our brightest talents and I had high hopes for him. He is in the last year of his contract though and he's probably realised with City signing Sterling and de Bruyne seeming imminent that he is unlikely to break into the first team anytime soon. It's a shame but it is probably the best move for him and a good deal for City, I wish him all the best as he seems a very humble and determined person.
