While De Bruyne is a better player than Navas, not sure that strengthens them.
They won't play in fixed positions. Sterling, Silva and de Bruyne are all players perfectly capable of interchanging roles. De Bruyne will probably spend more time out wide than Silva, given the fact he's a very good crosser.

Stones has better potential for me.. And in a normal world they'd play as a pair without this bullshit "left foot, right foot" combo.
I don't think they will. Silva has just been too good centrally to move him. Anyone know how good KdB is defensively? Navas is pretty good in that sense and Sterling on the other side does a job, but I remember when they used to play Silva wide and he was poor tracking back allowing them to get exposed at times.
Now we are guaranteed champs league do we think there are any pending deals that will advance to the next stage?

At the very least, United need to buy one top class striker. SAF always had four and at the moment we have Rooney, a number 10 playing out of position; Hernandez who is a better as a sub and a United graduate who struggled to score a goal last season. Compared to our rivals, we have arguably the worst attack and compared to the big clubs in Europe, our attack is an embarrassment.
After the reported comments from Real at the tail end of last season that they could get DDG for almost nothing and the ridiculous earlier bids, its also about saving face for them too.

I don't think so. By not playing DDG we are clearly setting up for the season without him. In fact, the closer we get to the window then the more likely Real Madrid are going to be paying up.
I think the real disaster would be going into the season with Romero as our #1, but I won't open that can of worms again.
