Think he's a united fan.
Hummels was interviewed after the game and mentioned that left wing was a good player. The journo said to him that he was only 17 and Hummels replied something like, 'only 17?! fecking hell'. Can't find the video but it was on Twitter.

Found it:

Hummles is just so fecking cool. Another who I've always thought would end up a united player.

David de Gea is currently living out his worst nightmare as a player. Separated from the rest of the team, relegated to the stands, ignored by Van Gaal, singled out by United fans because of the coach and, above all, anxious about his future.

Last season De Gea left Manchester with the intention of not returning. He was convinced he would sign a transfer deal at the beginning of June and take part in the pre-season warm up at new club Real Madrid. He didn't count on the fact that his manager and executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, would slam the door in his face.

The Spanish keeper can't understand why Van Gaal won't let him leave. If he didn't want him before then why won't he let him go now? This is what the De Gea camp find difficult to fathom.

With this outlook, Real Madrid and De Gea fear the saga will be drawn out right until the close of the transfer window. This is a situation Florentino Pérez understands all too well but it isn't exactly what the player himself had in mind.

Manchester United are still asking for €40 million for their keeper, a figure Real Madrid consider excessive for a player whose contract ends on 30th June 2016, but will have no choice but to pay if they hope to count De Gea in their ranks this coming season. Keylor Navas has even been mentioned as featuring in a possible deal, although this fact won't make matters any easier. "€30 million and Keylor," is the response from Old Trafford.

Marca and Madrid literally think they're living in a soap opera.
Poor guy. Must be hard sat in the stands earning £70k a week.

You're still missing the point - I don't care whether LVG pulled the plug , Pedro preferred Chelsea or whatever the reason was, LvG and Woodward know what they are doing - far more than you, me , some journalist stirring up a nonsense story or the Queen Mother

90% of what is spouted by the papers is rubbish. I only deal with facts

We are not signing Pedro - personally good news
Maybe we will sign a player I don't like before the end of the window, but I will still support him 100% and the club

Up to now excellent transfer window - one top class forward and we're there

None of this was your original point, your original point was that you believed LvG pulled the plug, now you are veering off into t o p red territory which I am not interested in.

No it's people criticizing the wrong people for the wrong reasons going only by the hearsay of some hack

My original point is above so don't understand what you're talking about
My point was,is and will be for ever more - people criticizing other people based on assumptions and not knowing any of the facts - which seems to be borne out by the press conference earlier today

Your original point was that people shouldn't blame Woodward which is the same as accepting the bullshit that LvG pulled the plug, It was clear as day what happened, the notion that our current stance is not simply PR spin is incredibly naive, as I said, when Liverpool tried with Memphis they were rightly called on it.

Just one thing, the press said that United haven't put a bid and never put a bid, isn't that a sign that the club might not have been interested? Isn't that a possibility.

The press constantly said we were negotiating to try and structure the payments, that was why we didn't make an official bid.

No it wasn't - please read again- no-one should blame either of them because what people think happened, probably didn't happen .
No proof we ever bid for Pedro, no proof we were ever seriously interested in Pedro, no proof that Woodward ever even went to Barcelona

The side effect for me personally is that we are not signing Pedro - good

No, they said that Barcelona were waiting for after the Super Cups then they said that it was the payments. They are full of shit.

I don't need toi read it again, you are buying into the lie because you didn't want Pedro to begin with, that's it.

The through-line the whole time, even with the Super Cup stuff, was that we wanted to pay €25M + €5M in add-ons and Barca wanted the €30M up front.

The through line is that we never put a bid and no one called Pedro except Mourinho.

Especially considering that Chelsea have paid out in pretty much the same structure as the press were reporting that we wanted to pay :wenger:

Misleading tweet
How? Mourinho's basically saying that Chelsea weren't aware they were competing with United for Pedro, which also suggests we never really went in for him.
