hopefully the out of nowhere Mueller sub trend goes on
Its a joke now. Every now and again there will be a Muller tweet and even the biggest muppets wont even bother discussing it. Its like a bot is tweet out spam in the form of Muller to United.

My problem is - how much of it is truth. The sources on the German side apart from sport1 are pretty relieable. The article in tomorrows kicker even makes the front page and it is not written by a no name.

The last rumours e.g. Kicker had in 2012, 2013 and 2010 were later even confirmed by Müller or his agency (not at the time but in interviews some time later).

But that is just the one side of it. Müller has contract until 2019 - and like Elber said in an interview today - Bayern can close shop when they would sell Müller. Müller is getting more and more the face of Bayern and his importance for the club gets even bigger in the next years. And until now you do not see somebody in the same mold in any of the coming youngsters. When Rummenigge told that he is not for sale he meant it. He is too important.

But - the other side of it - that means that they have to keep him satisfied and Pep should not play games like him like lately when I thought he just subbed Müller because of the media critics on him. The result right now is that when the people in the stadium see a broadcast of Müller coming into the stadium they cheer and applaud - and some whistle when they see Pep coming in. Lately they made him to be the third captain (with Neuer taking over Schweinsteiger's vice captain job) and talked that Müller has to take over Schweinsteiger's functions in the club.

That is the article. Kicker is a sportsmagazine that comes out Monday and Wednesday - not yellow press. That is the online preview to the article (not readable even if you try to zoom it).

yeah, just wanna count how many times until September the news will gather pace again. probably have to start watching Bayern weekly now and jot down each and every time Mueller is pulled out

what, basing subs on the media?

what, basing subs on the media?

I think that Pep did not like that the media all critisized him for substitutions on Müller. The media is really cooking high lately and does not worship Guardiola anymore in Germany... That was big topic in the German media and of every pundit - even during the broadcast - in April and May. The golden rule - never substitute Müller. And every time the team lost afterwards.

It is my opinion - because there was no other reason for it not even a tactical one - that he subbed Müller out of the Supercup in minute 85 leading 1:0 only because of that. Götze for sure did not appreciate to get that 5 minutes... (if it would be a newbie or a player that seldom gets time it would be different...)

(since the press started to critisize Pep for substitutions of Müller he hardly sees the end of any match - the Audi Cup final was the first time since the Porto match Müller played 90 minutes... - he played 90 minutes in 8 of the 10 matches before...)

...it is more like he does not want to let the press dictate what he has to do...

Details: Something went wrong.

Move outdoor furniture inside - check
Make sure the weird chimney's in shot - check
Hold up a fake Roma top - check

OK, Ima ready

He has no clue about the club he's joining.

What do you expect from a young 18-year old Brazilian. How should he know that the no. 10 of your future club is worn by their biggest legend since ages...

He probably does not even know who Totti is...

If we bought Muller we'd most likely play him at right back.

Am I right lads *high five?*

Why do you think that?
We had the time to do otherwise since the Schneiderlin signing but we haven't signed anyone else except for Romero. With van Gaal wanting to sign players before the first game, you would have thought things would happen last month.

There is no way we are done for the window. We need one, if not two, attacking players before the window shuts. I could live with our current defense (YAY! again) for another season if De Gea stays, but don't think we can have a good campagin without addition of attacking options.

Very suprised we haven't made any signings
I also think we're done for this window. We're still lacking defensively and up front.
no chance, absolutely no chance we'll go into this season with only Rooney.
We'll get Pedro for sure.
Fully expect some deadline day/week madness

I think we're after Pedro but the longer it goes on, the more chance we'll miss out I suspect. I also think there's a chance De Gea will go and we'll have to overpay for Cillessen.

Can't see us buying anyone else other than one of these guys though. If we had such plans then why would we wait so long? We should have gone for Otamendi I reckon. At least our net spend won't be much ;)

Last RT; Cadena COPE reporting Benítez wants another striker, and that striker is Fernando Llorente, but Madrid don't wish to sign a striker

So destoying of Real Madrid begins. Starts with Llorente ends with Jose Enrique.

I would honestly throw £100m Bayern's way (or whatever it takes) to get Muller. 3rd best player in the world.

If its negative it has to be true...There are two parties to the transaction, not just us...

If Madrid are willing to pay a world record fee for a gk, then yes..De Gea will probably go..But until then he is our player. And we may not be rushing to sign this players because we are negotiating for better terms., and the other party may think Because this is United, we can get as much as possible from them

Lim has reportedly been “blunt” in behind the scenes discussions over the possible sale of Otamendi, refusing to budge from his €50 million asking price.

Moreover, Plaza Deportiva claim that one reason Peter Lim is holding firm in his negotiations with the Red Devils is because he has labelled Man United as “a rich club”.

So we may either hold out for as long as possible, or look at alternatives. There is so much happening behind closed doors we dont know about.

Anything can happen when Giggs is about.

Question.

Which team racked up a high amount defensive errors last season ?
Which team had the most defensive injuries last season?

DING DING DING DING.

How will these things change if we don't buy a CB ? Next you'll be telling me evans is fine backup ?

Smalling has improved but he doesn't even have a CB partnership to build on from last season. Jones is once again injured and LVG wants to play someone who isn't a defender as a CB. In the prem ? Not the wisest of moves, blind and smalling have never worked together so they have nothing to build on from last season. They're starting from scratch so how can you imply the defence will be better this season ?

Smalling needs a better partner, simple.

That's not the same. At all, it isn't even a comparable scenario in the slightest. By march we had made 26+ defensive errors however only two lead to goals, that's de gea right there. Imperative to us last season.

Mike has a defensive partner, his name is Marcus Rojo.

Defensive errors leading to goal was same as the champions, Citeh and Arse have more errors leading to goal and they finished above us.

£17.8m? You couldn't buy me for that and I've got 2 left feet.

Are all these 'tweeters' just fat fecking know-nothings sat in their bedroom pretending to be important?
Maybe I can make up stories, too.

So City and Chelsea are interested in a proven winner and class player at one of the world's biggest teams but we offer £17m when he has an extremely reasonable buy out agreement? If true (seems unlikely surely) you have to wonder if we're on quite a limited budget after last summer.
