Well that makes total sense. Two bids of the same amount.

"Tell you what, we'll give you £100 million for Bale!"

"No thanks..."

"Ummm... £100 million for Bale?"

"errr".

We actually did that with Baines two years ago.

Pedro clearly wants first team football so I don't think he'd choose Bayern, I think he would rather compete with Young and Mata than Ribery and Robben.

Both Ribery and Robben are injury prone and not exactly young.

We seem to be more concerned with getting players off our books to lower the wage bill than getting half decent prices. We've sold Nani, RvP and Rafael for pretty much the same price Tottenham shifted Paulinho.

Probably because lots of players are on wages other clubs are unwilling to match.

We accept lower transfer fees to enable the buying club to pay those higher wages. Otherwise the player just stays on our books drawing wages but not playing.

It sounds stupid and the story is 99% likely to be fake, however two £100m bids wouldn't be as silly as it seems. The value of the £ to the € has risen, so the second £100m bid would have been more valuable to Real Madrid in euros than the first. If that makes sense?

Yup. It's just gone up to 1.42 actually, so we should try our luck with a third bid of £100 million :)

Another player that is happy waiting until January to play...what position is he playing? Hopefully will be so good like Douglas
Barca are the top dogs now bro... they will wait a year if needed.

This post had me properly baffled for a while:lol:

I thought you were saying 'not exactly Young' as in Ashley, I know he divides opinion here but bloody hell better than Ribery and Robben:wenger:

Gerson has been described as Brazil's pogba, not as tall but he is only 18.
Thanks, I didn´t know him. Luis Enrique complaint yesterday saying that they are weak, probably talking about the midfield. 18 years...the guys of la Masía must be delighted with Bartomeu

Unfortunately you are right, everybody wants to play with Messi

Good to see Rio doing his part, if we didn't have the Doc Brown of football managers with his left foot weirdness I'd be very happy to see a Smalling/Stones partnership, nice mix of brute force and athleticism with footballing skills and elegant footular weapons from a more civilized age!

Juve are considering Luiz Gustavo now that they've lost Khedira to injury.

Oh yeah definitely, but I don't think we are willing to pay the price.

Evans - plus quite a few quid, could be the deal maker though Desi. Whatya think man?

Plus, maybe Stones would prefer to stay in the north too. He probably wouldnt have to move house anytime soon either man. Liverpool aint that far away away from Carrington either, so he could commute quite easily - like many players & managers do with other teams..

He's out for 2 months.

That's not really a reason to go and buy another CM then.

Offer Everton the same money we paid for Shaw and stick Evans on top to sweeten the deal as they'll need a replacement CB quick smart.

He's injured before the season has started? How bad is it?

He's out for 2 months.

Any wonder no-one was seriously / publicly, in for him. He's been a crock for quite a while now & just cant seem to shake that tag unfortunately..

Still tough - f*ck feeling sorry for him. He's gotta world cup winners medal & a champions league winners medal - to accompany all his other titles/prizes. Plus he's minted & probably has a shit-hot babe to rub him down or rub one out for him.. (Wife/Girlfriend = legal prostitute, only more expensive)

Absolutely Dev - it's a no-brainer offer we should be making & Evans should be up for it too, as it's a great club & he wouldnt have to move house either..

Evans could do very well at the Toffees - all our players that have went there have been so far; well apart from Gibson - who was born injured ffs.

Would love to see him stay injury-free for a couple of seasons & see what he's really made of, because no-one's really ever had the chance to see it - that includes our national team too..
