What did you expect? He wants out and is nowhere to be found (probably Paris now). The ball was firmly in PSG and Di Maria's court. We're lucky to be only making a £12.5m loss.
him fecking off did change things, I still think we should of held out for 50 minimum tbh.

Don't care one bit, glad he's gone, I don't want him anywhere near our club again. We have basically spend next to nothing now this window (around £25m net), so I expect big movements in the next couple of weeks.

Well we will have 70 million pounds if De Gea leaves as well and knowing Woodward I think we are going to try something big, still one month for the transfer window to close.
I want to know what happened to this £200m kitty we were supposedly using this summer. So far we've spent £80m, wisely I must add but there is still a £120m kitty if reports were correct a few months ago. I feel it's getting too late in the day to establish any big money transfers now unless they are underway, I just hope there's something up our sleeves because at the moment it's getting all rather depressing reading.

it's meant for players like muller and bale.

only problem is the clubs don't want to sell

Pedro & Otamendi would cap off a fantastic window but supposedly we're not interested in the latter.

If he doesn't want to be here then he should leave, getting that much for a want-away isn't bad at all.

As you all must know money transfers are not done straight away so if the euro gains on the pound once the Eurozone economy stabilises then we will end up getting more money.

Also we didn't pay all the money for him straight away so with the fall of Euro we most likely ended up paying about £55m.

Not that it makes a difference for any of us or I care about it, but just saying.

Always tho and even said that i believe he would improve in his 2nd season, funny tho,not so much disappointed with him leaving but with him running away from challenge. They should send thank you card to Plattini, funny thing after they had their mouth full with 3rd world countries and how they are corrupted, they gonna support Plattini for FIFA...

Well difference being ADM was immense in that season for Madrid and crap for us last season.

He said he didn't want to leave Real though. He even said it after he joined us ffs! Perez knew we had the money and wanted to make a statement so therefore got the maximum price for a player coming off the best season of his career.

15 mil loss after a season with 4 years left on the contract ?

it's really not but lets be done with him now.
Yep, it's rubbish but I just want it to end now. Hopefully we've got Pedro or someone else in straight away.

We overpayed 10-15m for him in first place. When we signed him he was having his best season in career, now he had his worst ever season. Add to that, he wants to leave.

It is a completely fair price.

He initially didn't want out, wanted a bigger paycheck but It clearly had came to the point of no turning back for him. It was either PSG or us, though I'm not even sure United was really an option, PSG was tied with FFP last year.

Adidas deal kicks in on Sat, selling record signing who has the most iconic number and seems keeper wants out.

Ed you have a couple of days to land a whale or 2.

Yes, we must overpay but must make sure whenever we sell that it is for a fair price.

Non of it matters anyway, he's gone. Just don't try and tell me that's a good price.

Good riddance to Di Maria.....We were paying him crazy money and he never looked interested in being here......For half the money we get for him then we can buy a player who can offer way more than he ever offered.....I expect Pedro to arrive very soon....not too sure if there will any other arrivals after that...Smalling and Rojo so far is our first choice center back pairing.....a little worrying but both can be solid on their day

No, we must not. We chose too (like we did with Herrera, Rojo and Shaw).

There are always alternatives.

Anyway, the difference was that based on his last season at Madrid, AdM was a top 10 player. Based on his last season here he wasn't even a top 100 player. And that is without counting his unprofessionalism.

David Luiz, 27 years old, has no clue how to defend - £50million.
di Maria, 27 years old, proven match winner - £44.2million.

Failing to see how this makes any sense?

Different circumstances, different years, different sellers, different positions, different players. Stop pointlessly comparing one deal to another.

Are you trying to reinforce my point? In what world have defenders consistently been sold for more than attackers? Last I checked, player prices increase by the year and not decrease. Circumstances different? You sleeping under a rock? PSG have wanted di Maria everyday for the last 390 days, that in itself demands £50million.

Drink some red bull and take a nap, buddy.

I'd be happy to get 45m for Di Maria.
15m loss (if we did pay 60m, and not all was to do with bonuses)

Doesn't fit our system
Wants to leave
Exchange rate didn't work in our favour

Yeah but ones not that great and the other is world class....

You cannot compare 2 entirely separate transfers. It's an utterly worthless argument for simpletons. Really surprised how many people struggle with this.
