Players like that are rarely ever "available", if you want elite players, then you have to simply give it a go and try your luck.
Suarez wasn't available, but Barcelona got him anyway.

Suarez was different. With all due respect to the dippers, they are a level below the top tier clubs. Name a top bracket player that isn't currently at one of the elite clubs?

Ps. Reus is good but not top bracket like Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez, Messi etc.

I was expecting this to happen but not overnight. Feck, hope this guy is a decent back up

According to reports, Romero had flown out to the States to meet up with squad a couple of days ago. I presume that picture was taken in the US, which is why it's being released in the early hours of the morning over here.
Yeah they took the wall board through the oversized luggage specially...

“Of course I would love it. But that’s not possible. You have Ronaldo and then you have how much Manchester United want to spend...

Of the whole interview that's the most interesting quote from lvg, and I'm surprised more of it has not been made of it.

Basically saying the board won't stump up the cash for ronny. Jusy hope hes not talking about other signings too

Geez they certainly snuck that one in quietly! Right now I hope DDG stays because I'm not keen on Romero being first choice GK. I'd imagine if DDG leaves then Lindegaard will be gone?

I hate slagging players off but deary me this is horrid behavior. And why we as a club bending over for PSG? Some two bit club with money? Why we not attempting to get Marquinhos or someone as part of the deal like we are trying with Madrid for Ramos in the De Gea saga? For me if ADM wants to waste away in a crap league with no challenge whatsoever then he obviously does not have the cohones for a club like Utd.

Also if LVG as he said in his interview with the telegraph or whoever wants him to stay then why is Woodward not just saying 'no sale'?

We must have someone lined up surely?

It clearly was taken in the US because there's a picture of him shaking hands with van Gaal. I presume the wall board is the one they use at press conferences. Probably a contractual obligation that's not particularly difficult to have reproduced in the States, especially since both our main sponsors are American companies.

Have to say, presuming ADM just decided to not get on the plane as a bit of obnoxious behaviour might be naive.

Quite possible he was allowed to travel to new York or wherever by the club and LVG may have not wanted him to join up with squad. He wont gain anything by refusing to fly at this point, it's clear we've already agreed to sell him.

What LVG says in public and private could be two very different things

Are people seriously questioning where Romero's transfer was completed and where the pictures were taken and if United took the "sponsorship wall" with them? FML :lol::lol:

Because none of their defenders are what we need. Silva isn't what he was a couple of years ago. No one wants luiz. And Marquinhos has stalled a bit in the last 2 years. Plus we need an experienced CB not another young CB.

We are probably selling because he is pushing for the move. De gea, though wanting the move, is completely with the team playing training and what not. Whereas di Maria couldn't even come for training. I'm sorry that's worse than whatever de gea did till now

Di Maria twist. Fee agreed, wages holding it up. 'Increasingly slim' chances of medical this week say L'Equipe. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/uh-oh-man-united-agree-transfer-fee-personal-terms-causing-issue…

Yes, please don't gooooo.

He seems very honest and blunt, look at how he handled the valdes thing. It could be deceptive though, he seems like the type to withold information that he may feel will benefit opponents.

but then he has said "i won't say because that will benefit others" when asked about things before...

I don't think the bold part needs saying.
