Aye the fecking Glazers never spending more than 100 million in a window.
How is that related to my post?

Hmm interesting. Forgot about that. The TV deal will see the minnows of the league spending way above the norm.
a bit more info about the Verratti situation:
Marco Verratti has reached a provisional contract agreement worth €7m a year net over 5 years with Real Madrid, according to @DiMarzio.
Real Madrid will offer PSG €50m for Marco Verratti, but Perez still has a task on his hands to convince them to sell.
No way PSG sells Verratti for 50 million euros. That'd be the bargain of the century.

Also, Isco and Verratti in the same side (possibly Pogba to follow), potentially Real's midfield sorted for a generation. Might be worth offering £30m for Modric if they do sign Verratti.

Crystal Palace aim to sign PSG midfielder Yohan Cabaye - sources: http://es.pn/1dgVmZa
Palace could end up in a very interesting position, a couple smart defensive purchases and a midfielder like Cabaye could see them cement themselves as a solid PL club.
That's a really, really good signing for Real (if it goes through). Verratti has the potential to be the best midfielder in the world for the next decade.
That may be true, but I don't see how he wil solve their issues in midfield. They need someone like Schneiderlin, Kondogbia, Krychowiak or Matic far more than they need another creative midfielder.

Really hope not.and he'll go to Man City to reunite with Pellegrini
We should do our best, monetarily and personally, to get this lad.

They cannot accommodate Modric, Kroos and Verratti in the same side...one of them will have to go.
If we are unable to attract Verratti... then Modric should be targeted IMO.
Not specific transfer news but there you go.

This actually really disappoints me, the whole point of Transfer Deadline day is to watch Sky Sports News all day/night (And of course the transfers itself).
Verratti can play DM as well. Even if he didn't, you have to remember that is the club that sold Makelele. Their priorities are hard to understand.
What are you talking about? Verratti is strong defensively, he would be ideal to partner Kroos.
I think this is bullshit, no way PSG would sell, but if they do surely we should try to sign him too? It would be crazy if this guy is available and we wouldn't be in for him.
Verratti is very good defensively, he used to pick up yellow cards at the rate of Tiote but he's becoming a great tackler.
He'd be a perfect fit for our midfield aswell but I'm not sure if he'll be going anywhere. Mansour doesn't need money, he will need to balance his books though. Unless RM offer an astronomical fee for Verrati I can't see PSG selling one of their best young players. Mansour is actually an owner who's interested in his club, he regularly watches PSG their youth teams and already rejected Barcelona twice.
They really have to buy English though.and he'll go to Man City to reunite with Pellegrini
I agree that he's very good defensively. I just don't see the need with Modric and Kroos there, on top of James and Isco. Maybe I should have worded it differently, but I think that Verratti looks as great as he does in PSG's midfield because of his obvious talent and because of Thiago Motta and Matuidi. Playing alongside Modric and/or Kroos would restrict him to do more defensively IMO, while he'd be better just like Modric and Kroos, if he's partnered with the players I've mentioned. Then again @Mciahel Goodman is right, they've sold Makelele and don't care for balance.

They struggled a lot this season when Modric was out injured because Kroos isn't good enough defensively (by himself). Verrati is actually a good signing.
