Sampdoria President admits he is trying to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea:

“I am trying to get Zouma, from Chelsea… He is a physical player.”

Sky are running different quotes though:

"I'm close to signing Zouma. And I'll have also another surprise", he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

@Damien

Typical Chelsea if they do sell him, but they bought him for €15m euros and i'd be shocked if Sampdoria spends that much?

This. Not even loan him.

You'd think the president would say "I'm close to signing Zouma. And I'll have also another surprise" if there was no chance it would happen? Surely Chelsea would just respond politely that he wasn't for sale, so why would the president be under the illusion that he's close? Unless he's lying of course. If there's one thing that should be obvious about Chelsea by now is that every player has a price.

Zouma is one of our most important young players. JT only has a couple of years left.

Unless we were buying a world class CB this summer I can't imagine we'd let him go. And if we did it would certainly be in loan.

Sending Zouma on loan to get regular first team football makes sense as Chelsea are surely buying another CB this summer. (linked with Alderweireld, Miranda etc.)

If he was available for a permanent transfer, I'd expect bigger and better teams than Sampdoria to be interested.

Its very possible Zouma has made it clear that he wants first team football next season, just like Lukaku, DeBruyne and others did.
All speculation of course, but seems they think they have a chance to sign him

I'd be stunned. Angry if it's anything other than a loan.

Dante rules out leaving Bayern amid #MUFC link: "I see my future here. I enjoy it every day, I'll always give everything for this club."

I'd be amazed if they even let Zouma go on loan. Most likely explanation is they are made up quotes imo.

He's an idiot imo. Something we all knew really but still, what an idiot.

I disagree. If anything, he's weighed his options with two managers he's had experience with, which is a pretty unique position to be in. So he's extremely well informed in regards of management style of whom he prefers to work with. Secondly, although he's not played for Everton, conversations with Martinez will have lead to him believing he's going to be getting a huge amount of playing time at Everton and they are a level above villa. Everton are also a much more stable club with a better chance of European Football.

On Kondogbia and Arsenal: On April 22nd L'Equipe said Arsenal were at the forefront of clubs interested in a move for the midfielder.

They explained a transfer would depend on 'the market' - meaning money. There was interest from Spain too.

Not sure how to insert tweets but according to Di Marzio, Veratti has agreed terms to join Real Madrid.

Real are feckers. Verratti, Kroos and Modric.

That's how elite clubs operate. Not continually telling the media you have 200m and then spend all summer denying transfer links through the media.
