What on earth does he want from a goalie? David has everything.

Like someone already said, De Gea has played in every single game. From friendlies, cup games to league games. The only game he missed was the last game of the season.

LVG trusted him from the get go in my eyes.

Van Gaal obviously had doubts over DDG given he actually admitted as much.

Doubt that had any real influence on DDG wanting to go to Madrid though.

Yep - its pantomime. The fans love Ronaldo and Casillas. Bale is yet to convince the Madrid fans.
Though, I prefer to boo a bad performance than to applaud poor performers (like Falcao or Moyes - these 2 should've been asked to run down the streets of Manchester, while being pelted with tomatoes).

You are giving Cillessen a hard time before he has even stepped on the pitch for us?
Valdes conceded a goal 6 minutes into his 1st team debut - I didnt see many people give him a hard time.
Give Cillessen a chance. He is a good GK - Ajax's current player of the year.
He is probably the only top keeper (apart from DDG), who is used to (and comfortable) playing behind shambolic defenders.

You weren't on this forum very long if you think many people were looking forward to Valdes.

Like I said he just doesn't look like a premier league goalkeeper. He's not convincing with crosses and I think he will struggle with the physical side of things.

Obviously DDG had those issues at the start but he had the likes of Vidic, Rio and Evra to help him overcome them. DDG was a much bigger potential also.

I rather keep DDG until Lloris recovers. If Lloris recovers before the window is shut then move for him.

I dont think its the main reason, but LVG did allude to the fact that he wasn't sure of DDG level at first during the end of season awards. He then went on to say he was suprised by how good he was.

TBH though I think that is fair game frok the manager, who hadnt managed him before. As you correctly pointed out DDG played every single game and on top LVG voted him player of the season, so its a lame excuse from Dave if hes trying to pull that one

Does he think if he repeats himself enough times, people will actually think he has any say in the matter?
Poor guy. In the back of his mind he just knows he has feck all say in the matter. Worst part is he knows we know aswel.

I am not 100% convinced that Cillessen is coming to MUFC.
But if he does leave Ajax, he wont be our back-up keeper - he'll be our No.1.
Nobody leaves a secure 1st team position in Ajax (and he is Holland's No.1, too), to sit on the bench at MUFC.
He does if we keep DDG.

Forget transfers he probably doesn't even get to pick his team. He's just there for the ride.

Exactly, he's been told that Bale must play and not be subbed under any circumstance, James probably also cannot be dropped as he's the other Perez Galaticos.

Spoken to #Benzema rep. Reiterates: "Karim will be Real Madrid player by end of transfer window, 1,000%. Not looking to move." #SSNHQ

Karim Djaziri tells #SSNHQ: "Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and is not looking to move anywhere this summer." #Benzema

I'll be surprised if he isn't at Arsenal next season - and very pleased as it looks like they've gone quiet in the market with just Benzema as a target. Last summer Di Maria wasn't looking to leave and we know how that went.

I doubt DDG wants to join another club. He wants to leave not because he's unhappy here but because it's Real. Sucks, but Real have the upper hand here. They can easily wait a year and get him on a free. I'm sure they'll do exactly that

That's not the point. Its just to get a raise out of Real. Hell, they can even tell DDG that it just to get Real to get serious about wanting him or something like that.

But Di Maria left because real signed James and refused to improve adm's contract. I don't see any striker that they can buy who will play the role benzema plays at Madrid. That is selflessly support Ronaldo/Bale.

Van Gaal not being sure of De Gea last summer was reported months ago here http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892.../de-gea-to-hold-fresh-manchester-united-talks and that he requested Navas be signed also. Since then Van Gaal has admitted publicly he wasn't sure of David initially and United's interest in Navas last summer has been mentioned in some of the Spanish reports throughout this summer's saga. It's a common theme on here that we only believe what we want to believe. Reports that Di Maria wanted to leave were laughed off 2 weeks ago because no one wanted to believe it was true - now they're having to come around to the idea now the reports are looking so widespread and concrete. Van Gaal did not endear himself to a fair few players in the squad last season - Di Maria, Falcao, De Gea, and even Van Persie has had some words to say against him in the media recently.

Can't even develop the players. Buy loan buy loan buy loan buy loan.

To be fair to them, Vitesse would be fecked without Chelsea. Their old owner (linked to Abramovic ofcourse) left them in a dire financial situation and they've lost most of their best players very quickly (at a Southampton rate) but they don't have the money to replace them.
