Finally some muppetastic news to get our teeth into. I've went 8 days with very little since THAT super-duper weekend when we signed 3 players.
In what sense?Another stupid transfer.

Memphis "next Alfonso Alves" Depay and Matteo "if only Clyne hadn't rejected us" DarmianTo go with?

Just messing. In a way I agree with you, £42m isn't a good deal.Of course not.

Diego Torres is a top journalist, and a very good source. He was who years ago started talking about the conflict Iker-Mourinho

Maybe reports are true and he was still torn about leaving or staying, so they made sure 100% he was leaving. Why would Real make an agreement with DDG for those figures? He wants to go there and nowhere else, he's had a much richer contract than they will likely offer him on the table from us for ages and not signed it in all that time - why would Real be even remotely worried about him not joining them, never mind to the extent that you offer him a €15 million promise to sign him by a certain time when he's so set on joining them?
I don't see what Real have gained by doing this They must be super fecking paranoid
Agreed.Ramos would be a great signing but I can't get excited about anything that sees De Gea leaving no matter how inevitable it has been.
Was there a doubt?
With all the midfielders we've brought in over the last few years, and his age, the manager might have felt a need to assure him.
Carrick has been such a fecking player for us hasnt he? I felt compelled to write that for some reason. He'll be getting a testimonial with soon in the next 18 months I imagine. Great servant.
Mendes must have done quite the number on Perez in that case - from where we're sat this has been the most nailed on signing for Real since... well, Ronaldo, but Real have still allowed themselves to commit that much money to a set date in exchange for DDG's agreement to join. Seems unnecessary to me.Maybe reports are true and he was still torn about leaving or staying, so they made sure 100% he was leaving.
This. The more people that realise the more we can appreciate him before he retires. With all the midfielders we've brought in over the last few years, and his age, the manager might have felt a need to assure him.

Looks like David McDonnell thinks he knows who this 'mystery' forward is.

He's arguably been our best player for 5 or so years now.This. The more people that realise the more we can appreciate him before he retires.
His guess is as good as ours.

Absolutely, RvP and De Gea have had standout seasons in that time but no one has matched his consistency in recent years. He's arguably been our best player for 5 or so years now.
Isn't them making him, and him accepting it a massive breach of contract....Why would Real make an agreement with DDG for those figures? He wants to go there and nowhere else, he's had a much richer contract than they will likely offer him on the table from us for ages and not signed it in all that time - why would Real be even remotely worried about him not joining them, never mind to the extent that you offer him a €15 million promise to sign him by a certain time when he's so set on joining them?

£42m, that's too high and I consider myself to be a muppet-con 2 kind of guy.
