In fairness to Cillesen, he's no De Gea (few are) but it wouldnt be like signing Taibi or Roy Carroll. He's underwhelming but also quite decent with the right back 4 in front of him. Its not like he's going to be shipping goals in every week.

Looks like something might be happening now. DDG out, Cillesen and Ramos in. Cillesen wasn't my first-choice but getting Ramos for DDG would be a fantastic outcome.

Both Cillessen and Romero are down to his past experience coaching them. He obviously knows a few intangibles about both people that lead him to think they would be appropriate for what he's attempting at United.

Exactly. He is not an idiot. He knows what level we want to achieve and will buy according to that. I refuse to believe that he is buying players only because they are Dutch or that he wants a familiar face. He doesn't seem to be a manager who would compromise on quality.

I do not want to give up De Gea for Ramos. I would rather we keep De Gea who is proven in the league than give him up for Sergio Ramos who has slowed down quite a bit and may not make it in the EPL
