De Bryune is not Di Maria fast, but he is fast enough. Also he is a very intelligent player than a lot of wingers around. Really, really want him at United.

I like him quite a bit as well but one of our biggest issues last year was we lacked pace and someone that can beat the opponent off the dribble to create space...if we are selling ADM then someone like Felipe Anderson or Lucas would do a great job for us as a RF/RW.

Feck no. Should charge more if Everton want him, less for another club. We have been giving them players on the cheap since Kanchelskis, but they totally screwed United over Fellaini and Baines.

Nah. £8 million for that walking calamity is fantastic by us. Everton are mugs.

Woody will make sure we don't get bent over, as we're also in a strong position considering the lenght of Di Maria's contract. Hugely disappointing if he really wants to leave though. I don't think it shows much ambition to play in the French league and especially leave after such shite season. I thought he'd want to stay to make things right and to prove that he can cut it in this league, but it looks like that's not the case. Would be the biggest flop in the club's history if he leaves this summer.

LeParisien don't know how much Di Maria will cost they are just speculating and the English media are spreading the number.

We'll get bent over
Normal service resumes.

How can you say that? Most players we have let go have little contract length and/or were on nhigh wages. If this £8m for Evans is true, its another example of good business, just look at Schweinsteigers fee or Darmians wage, what do you think City would have laid had they needed a RB? When SAF and Gill were here as great as they were, we sold players for peanuts, things are changing

I don't think we've done anything exceptional, in terms of fees or wages. What we have done is selected the right targets, and avoided the normal Man United premium.

However, if we do sell him for £40m, we'd be making a £20m loss on a player we had one for one season. Stupid in so many ways.

''Senior sources at PSG today insisted they will “walk away” should United’s price for Di Maria be too high.''

So he's staying?
Who are PSG threatening with that stance? It is not like we are desperate to sell. This is Di Maria, not Bebe ffs.

I had basically written these MEN journos off as "inventors", but to be fair they were the first to break the Schneiderlin signing. They might have just spotted those twitter ITKs and got it from them though. I still have a very hard time believing they know anything at all about our plans.
They exist?

They should fecking walk away then because i cant see United taking a £20m hit after only a year, you would think United were skint or desperate to sell to read half this bullshit.

Sounds like a get out for the journalist if it doesn't happen.

I hope PSG have a decent pair of walking shoes then...

Lacazette please. He is good enough for the immediate future and for the long term.
Not sure how people can say this so boldly.

He's got potential but scoring goals in the french league isn't a gaurentee that a player is ready for the prem. He's got one good season on his back.

Funny how so many don't want cavani and think lacazette is perfect for us. goal wise this season there's not much difference.

They'll be walking away then. Woody will bleed them dry. They're dreaming if they think we won't laugh at their 40 million bid.

I'm telling you lads this is all huff and puff from PSG. They love pretending they're important outside of france.

They will enquire, we'll tell them to feck off or take them to the cleaners and they'll back out. Knowing that would be the scenario from day one.

Ever since Woodward gave that interview stating that he wants United to be the number 1 club in the world, boasting about our financial wealth and unlimited transfer budget, and to stop losing players to the Spanish teams, we've become a different United.

I think Woodward has a point to prove and we will not be getting 'bent over' like before.

I'm inclined to agree.

LVG could nip the Di Maria stuff in the bud - but twice he's implied it depends on the player. Maybe he's not quite sure of him yet and whether he's got the desire to prove himself at a big club. I'm sure he'll do well for us this season

40m for Di Maria after FFP heavily loosened  If they could, they would have bought him for 60m last year. To top it off, no Cavani in return, not that i would be that keen on him.

Bid 60m or feck off.

Yep, it's likely they truly are interested so will check if he's available, they will then hear that we demand at least 85m and that will be that. PSG their sanctions have been lifted but they are still limitted with what they can spend this year, I don't see us desperate to sell him either as we already have many new signings bedding in with more to come.

Many people think PSG can go buckwild again this year, while in truth they cannot. Comments from El-Khelaifi and Blanc made that clear.

At the very least, he should have said how we want him to stay.

Di Maria doesn't go for a penny less than what we paid imo. I think we would sell him, but wouldn't take a loss after one year on a player of that level.

And hasn't he flown out with Chicharito and Rojo to the USA? Can't imagine the deal being particularly imminent in that case. PSG don't strike me as a club who have good relationships with others around Europe.

They all fly out on the 25th.

It's been nearly a week since we signed anyone. fecking ridiculous.

And if you pay 50m for David Luiz, you don't bid 40m for Angel Di Maria unless you're trying to solicit a good laugh.

There is absolutely no guarantee with any player when they move clubs. But when you watch a player, you can see their movement, their finishing and their technical ability. Lacazette has it all, that is why i think he will do very well at United.

Why take a figure plucked out of the air by a French newspaper seriously?

We don't know if PSG are about to bid for Di Maria.

We don't know what they might offer.

We don't know if DM wants to go.

We don't know what we might accept.

Whats all this 'we'll get bent over' stuff about?
One tweet and all hell brakes loose again. Oh well we had our few days of positive feelings.
