Come on lads, let's have a whip round and get this sorted tomorrow. I've got about £2.50 I don't mind putting in.

I think I've got £1.7 million in my wallet that I can spare...

No, wait... 50 pence. I've got 50 pence.

I'd laugh if after Liverpool have gone and spent their expected income City turn around give it "nah, we're not interested in Sterling anymore".

Seriously though nobody else seems interested in him, Liverpool are clearly reliant on some money coming in especially if they want to make more signings, City should put a new offer of £35m + £5m add ons in, less than their previous and play the waiting game.

The alternative is that Liverpool have an unhappy player in their squad and I'm sure Rodgers doesn't want that.

He is not worth £50m considering the circumstances. Man City also still need to balance the books, the financial fair play fines and stuff have been lifted but teams are still expected to operate within the rules.

So City are signing Sterling for £50m, De Bruyne for £50m, and Pogba for £70m huh?

Edit: read the Pogba tweet wrong

Is he the one that looks great on YouTube? Dribbles past people through the centre a lot? If not, who is that? Plays in the French league, young CM. There was a thread started on him this season I think.
Ermm bit vague, but could be. Maybe sanson though, think that was the thread I remember.

@Sly Nani replacement? Happy with this signing?

Not really. I think he´s a bit past it and i doubt he will make a big impact in our league. Already 29 years old too, so you can forget about earning any decent transfer money in the future. Rumor Wolfswinkel also coming back. Pretty underwhelming market for us so far. I´d be happy with Teófilo Gutierrez from River Plate (although he´s 30), some reports about him joining us. Looks like Jorge Jesus wants experienced players.

Are there any major departures expected at Sporting?

Madrid is going to sign Kiko Casilla for 3m€ . They also said that will be official in the next hours and probably will go to the pre season next week

I think this year our President will prevent any major departures because of the promises he made to Jorge Jesus. Next year plenty of players will probably leave (William Carvalho, Carrillo, Mané and Slimani). Jesus already spoke about how he is looking forward to making Carvalho a better player (like did did with Matic). Cédric already left us for Southampton, i´d bet Sporting will sell two more players, Jefferson to Galatasaray and probably Adrien to Mónaco (Jardim likes him and knows him well).

I was going to make a joke about replacing Casillas with Casilla, then I googled him to find out he actually is a keeper

Genius from Madrid.

I'm curious to see him comeback in France.

They're probably hoping that the fans won't notice the difference.
