First of all, I don't think that it'll happen. But if it happens, then my guess is that both him and Rooney will play as strikers (similar to him and Olic). What does this mean for Mata/Di Maria though. Both of them in the wings (which means Depay in the bench) or one of them in the bench (which would be an extremely expensive substitute).

The good part in this signing is that Muller is arguably the most versatile striker I have ever seen, being world class both as a striker, second striker or as a right winger. Also, if Rooney gets injured, we will already have an even better striker than him to cover.

Read their articles. None of them quote a source but understand a move is close. Could be they were briefed. Either way the original source on this is Di Marzio who works for Sky Italia. There's none better than him on Italian transfers

The Mirror article doesn't actually mention Sky Italia. McDonell says that senior United sources have confirmed the interest in Darmian.

My mistake. I thought he was quoting mirror rather than working at mirror.
 
What we really need is a Woody tracker. Some kind of interactive website taking tweets and guesses where he currently is.
My guess is he's in Spain overlooking the Bernabeu from his chopper, with Jones hanging from a rope to collect Ramos.

An example of a limited striker in my opinion is someone like Hernandez. Good for scoring goals, but not much else.

Not fecking Muller.
He's on a similar level to Aguero & Suarez for me.

Why even listen to people to criticise Muller. The only reason they say crap like that is because they heard someone else say it on the Caf, and like any trend, it catches on. They never base an opinion on fact of observation, just presumption based on other people's thoughts.
 
Has the phrase 'closing in' ever been used more frequently than over the last couple of weeks? An alternative way of saying 'this might happen soonish but we're not really certain'.

True, watching even 1 of his games, a word you can't call him is limited.
 
Darmian, whom I've never seen play, is very highly rated by Italians whose judgement you'd expect to be sound. Seems a bit like the Blind transfer last year.

RVP and Hernandez both could well be sold
Rooney is not good enough as a first choice striker for a challenge for the title or UCL
Wilson is not yet good enough as one of three main strikers imo - needs a loan to get more gametime and then assess
