If this is true, there is something seriously wrong with football at the moment. Not following how he's done with Roma, but I wouldn't put him in the top 100 players in the world, probably wouldn't even remember him if I had to create a list of 500. A player with a bit of talent, but demanding things like this is ridiculous.

You'd think so, or at least soonish. Would be weird for the club to go through the effort of putting in a first bid, have it rejected, then just go "Oh...nevermind then" and walk off.
You don't bid for players if you don't intend to sign them.
