If Benatia is for sale we should be all over it.

ESPECIALLY for €22M.... he was one of the most complete defenders in the Serie A 2 seasons ago and is the type of experienced, top tier CB we have needed for a while.

Yeah, he wanted CL football last summer, now if he's available we can give him that.
Doubt Bayern will want to sell but...

Also he is a boyhood MUFC fan... get him for €22 and Darmian for €20 and our defense is sorted.

Would love that to happen. I really like Darmian, versatile too.

Its a pity we dont go in hard for players like that, they are way cheaper (and better) than the some of the English talent we have been going for.

We paid more for Luke Shaw (€42m) than Benatia and Darmian would cost TOGETHER at this point.

So if a foreign footballer is spotted in a London pub, it means he's signing for Glasgow Celtic.
Not quite; London is the capital, he could be there before taking another flight up north. This would be more like a Southampton hotel and Glasgow Celtic.

(From yesterday) Southampton closing in on a deal to sign Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to France Football http://goo.gl/w9g5tm
(New) According to Eurosport FR, Southampton's deal for Gueye more likely to be for €6m plus bonuses rather than the €10m suggested yesterday.

Where does this fella play in midfield? Is he a strong box to box or what?
Is it a sign of Schneiderlin moving on, or more likely to compete for his place should they get Europa league ?

Plenty of talk here regarding Januzaj being in Marbella to complete move to La Real. Marbella is 1100km distant from San Sebastián...

Wouldn't be surprised to see Januzaj move to Sociedad on loan but this is definitely reading too much into something that means very little.

Liverpool ready to increase their £8million offer for Nathaniel Clyne http://dailym.ai/1Ayis8t

Wasn't it £10 Million earlier?

Though that does fit in with Liverpool's recent transfer dealings.

"We offer £10 Million."
"That's not enough sorry."
"Ok, Ok... We're willing to increase on our bid of £8M. How about £9M?"

Then Woodward or Levy walk in, slap a wad of money on the table and skip out hand in hand with Clyne.

Didn't Clyne sign the new contract? What is with the price.
He hasn't I think. Still about to run out in a year but I'd expect a fee to be closer to £15m still as I think United and Spurs will also be interested.

Shaw was signed from an English club for 27m Pounds, it was an excessive fee and you didn't need to convert it to Euros to tell us that. The business was done between UK clubs, using the Sterling.

The original bid was said to be around £10m

Woodward will slam the money on the table, stare the man in the eye saying he's ours and then tell Clyne to get his coat.
He'll take him to the chopper and fly it himself, with Ronnie already in the back seat.

I'm told MUFC are no longer interested in Clyne so looks like Liverpool are in pole position to sign him

I hope so. It is either a tactic or we really arent interested anymore. I think it is the latter.

Clyne and Johnson would be the most unbalanced and overrated fullback pair in the league. Two eminently ordinary players.

The club telling reporters that they are not interested in a player means very little

Unless we're waiting for a Liverpool bid to be accepted and then matching it? Seemingly preventing a bidding war?

I can't understand how we'd be interested in him for 20-25m and then not interested in him for 10-15m?
