Is Firmino really a muppet dream? Not saying I wouldn't want him as I don't know him that well but he doesn't strike me as a muppet signing.
No he isn't, he looks good but he isn't a muppets dream. He is the only united rumour going so there's nothing else to go by.

AC Milan have had talks today with Geoffrey Kondogbia and his representatives, according to Sky Italia. AC Milan want a deal at €30m.

James Cooper on SSN has said that we are 'considering' Kane as an option upfront. Not formally made an approach to Spurs, sounds like bullshit to me.

He said that the rumours for Firmino started in Germany. He doesn't believe we are interested in him as our priorities like else where.

Not sure how reliable he is. Just assuming SSN are reliable.

Thanks, i just get the impression no one knows of our targets-its all assumptions at the moment.

Certainly seems that way. We have been linked with so many players and the window has only just started.

Sky are fecking hopeless. We are 'interested' Kane? What a scoop. Put that up there with the Gumdogan done deal.

James Cooper just said on Sky "we saw it with the reports of Gundogan to United in Germany, reports of a move for Firmino are wide of the mark"

Erm, surely they mean the reports from "Sky sources" that United were close to a deal.

You know thats not true. Problem is these journos dont deny anything, they just throw bullshit stories out there. That keeps the muppets juices flowing until the denial flies in, like now.

I know what's not true? That Ogden tweeted 2 days before we signed Herrera thay we wont get him? Same as Mitten? Same as all the other journos we briefed last summer? It was a trend last year. We would brief journos we're not in for a player and yet we were. The English journos are none the wiser, especially when it is a foreign player transfer. We're not telling them anything and havr been feeding them lies.

Diario Record: Joao Moutinho is Zenit's main midfield target this summer and the talks with Monaco are already well advanced. Villas-Boas really wants to take him to Russia.

That the English journos are not any more worse than the Italian ones.

There is a difference between saying a transfer isnt done, no interest etc... and done dealio.

Mourinho has said publicly now that we're after a midfielder. Id like to hope that we wouldn't just allow City a free run at Pogba without at least bidding ourselves.

Think we'd be a much more attractive option than City.

Saw Vietto being heavily linked with Liverpool in a £14m move. I really, really don't like the sound of it.

City seem after the right targets in Pogba and Sterling.
True. They're more after quality than quantity it seems, and if they can tie them up to 5-year deals then with the ammortization of less than £20m per year and some of the heavy earners like Toure going off the payroll soon they could probably squeeze within the FFP limit. Also, you're looking at a long term investment with them so over the full length of their stays they'd have cost them £8m or so per season.

Atletico will get him.
Hope they will but they seem consumed by Tevez chase right now. Also correct target for them but they should sign Vietto before, a good young player who will serve them for years and will probably be flogged for £30m+ in the future. Go for it Diego.

Don't sweat on it, he isn't out of contract, Liverpool aren't interested.

Anyone who thinks we are not after pogba is mad, of course we are. If we don't get him (i don't think we will) i don't think it will be due to lack of trying.

Think he'll be madrid or psg personally

Hope he goes to PSG. Its the only place he is likely to stay long term. Short of that he could turn into an Anelka-like journeyman for his whole career.
