Clyne 10-15m, Kovacic 22m give or take, leaving roughly between 13 and 18m for a CB, they could easily pick up someone better than they have for that kind of money, and be a far more solid team.

I dont see it. They paid 20m for Lovren, i dont see a CB out there for that price that would improve them.

Someone like Abdennour won't cost more than that.

"Rafa jets in for Bale spying mission."

Why? Does Rafa not know that Bale is already one of his players? The first training session might be awkward if FSW doesn't know who is in his squad.

Ronaldo: "Hi boss, welcome to the club."
Rafa: "Where's Jermaine Pennant?"

Portuball: Official: Benfica TV has confirmed Benfica has signed Adel Taarabt on a 5-year deal. Comes on a free from QPR.

Portuball: O Jogo believes Adel Taarabt could be Nico Gaitán's replacement at Benfica. Now that the former has signed, let's see what happens.

Roberto Firmino leaves the TSG in the summer. Destination unknown. The transfer fee is 30 million euros.

This is the price I heard last week from his club, don't know where he is going though, hopefully to us.

Taarabt going to Benfica is strange. He hasn't really been great anywhere so far and has somehow managed to play for Milan and now Benfica in a space of two years. He's just been released by QPR.

Just curious if there's a reason why the slight difference in name of these two channels that sound like they are supposed to be the same?
Is one a foreign version of the other?
One is SSN Germany, the other SSN UK.

Led to believe the reports claiming United have agreed a fee for Roberto Firmino are well wide of the mark. #mufc

We did the same thing to journos last year. We get heavily linked with a player and then deny the rumours only to sign that player a few days or weeks later. If there's nothing in the reports then why was Peter Braund spotted with an agent from the agency that represents Firmino at a Hoffenheim game?

Man City will make an improved £40m offer for Sterling in the next 48 hours. Are determined to get the deal done as soon as possible.

City are prepared to pay Sterling over £180,000-a-week in wages to lure him to the Etihad.

I remember one of these feckers saying he'd be very surprised if we went back in for Hererra, after speaking to the club.

Next day he signed.
