I knew we would be in for one of Martinez or Bacca. The other strikers are just unrealistic.
People moan when we let our players go for peanuts yet Liverpool are rightly paying hardball and it's a joke?
The balls in their court. Sterling has 2 years left. Aidy Ward has screwed him up. Good on them.
Should as fact.Should as his 'opinion' or 'fact' mate?
Nah. His pace isn't extraordinary, but he isn't a sloth either.Isn't Jackson Martinez really fecking slow? @Arruda

Ah fair enough, that's good to hear. I seem to just remember a few posters on here saying he was really slow, and it stuck in my head.
Whats the word in Portugal? Do you reckon he's good enough for United?
They've been bought out, got some money to spend by all accounts. Why are AC Milan linked to everyone? Didnt they finish like 11th again?
I think he's brilliant, and would love to see him at a top team. He's a complete and consistent player. Unfortunately I think he'll go to an average team. Milan are trying to sign him (they're planning to invest heavily for next season) and Valencia is another serious possibility. Arguably Arsenal were interested as well, but not as close as the other 2.
As always, thanks for the info @Arruda
Many of his goals are brilliant. But the most beautiful thing he's done is an assist. First touch, vision, timing and trickstery (best replay is the last at 0:29):
Or Porto, to hum... Claim a better deal. News around here were that Milan had a deal with Martinez already, but not offering what Porto wants. Not so much the amount, but the instalments plan.Just saw someone mentioning it on Twitter.
Isn't it a possibility that these Jackson Martinez to United or City rumours has been pushed by either Italian media or AC Milan in order to try and claim later on that they beat both Manchester clubs to the signing of Martinez?
Thought exactly this, meself. I think it's good that Berlusconi sold almost half the club to Mr Bee so they can strengthen the team. Milan has a rich history and the Serie A will be more interesting with them challenging Juve, Napoli, Roma (Lazio).Just saw someone mentioning it on Twitter.

Just copying the master..
Just copying the master..
No need. 2 very fine assists.I reckon the Martinez one is better....*Ducks for cover*
Well, well, well

BREAKING: Alexandre Pato [currently on loan at São Paulo] has filed a lawsuit against Corinthians to terminate his contract.
I still love the goal he scored against Barca. Just ran straight through them, it was beautifulTotally forgot about Pato. He should have been a star.
Martinez is just another Guarin/ Garay/ Sneijder/ Strootman. I refuse to be drawn into the media bull plop.
Hes not, I'd imagine he's included in the more transfer gossip section , therefore he is the better photo for click bait. Why is Gareth Bale so bothered about the Firmino deal?
Please let them bleed City for £45-50m.
Say they spend the £50m on Clyne, Kovacic and a solid CB, push Markovic onto the wing, they wouldn't be looking too bad imo.Whilst it would be hilarious, £50m is nothing to City and it'd give Liverpool more money to spend.
Suppose they'll spend it on dross though so extra hilarious.

Clyne 10-15m, Kovacic 22m give or take, leaving roughly between 13 and 18m for a CB, they could easily pick up someone better than they have for that kind of money, and be a far more solid team.Would £50m get all that? I know Clyne was rumoured to be £10-15m but Kovacic? Solid CB would be upwards of £10m too.
