A Man City youth player who is playing for Dortmund? They know we have a type I suppose.
Wilcox was Director of their youth academy after coaching successful youth teams at City, that’s why he wanted Sancho out in the summer, he’s aware of him being hard work and there were rumours of Sancho smoking after a city youth game.

Nmecha is 6’4 mobile, physical and BTB player with a good all round skill set, good ball progressing ability and can play 8 or 10.

There is talk about a penalty clause that allows Chelsea to back out of the deal. What that penalty clause is or whether it really exists, I have no idea. However, Sancho does not seem to have lived up to Chelsea's expectations, so he may end up back with us.

There's been mention of it in a few articles. They all suggest the penalty would be a significant portion of the agreed sale price. Worst comes to the worst we get 10-15m for a season long loan at Chelsea and he'll have a year left on his contract.

In that scenario, I think we should still be able to find a buyer.

Saudi, he'd pretty much be out of options.

These are the same sort of strikers right, still young. We need a more finished article and not a new project.
True, but can we afford a finished article who is good enough? Also, I don't think we'll buy a player who is 27 or older unless his contract is running out. It’s a tricky situation.

Probably clickbait but Bild claims that we're interested in BVB midfielder Nmecha:

Apparently willing to pay 40m GBP. Sounds bs to me...
The link has been corroborated by a more reliable journalist, but he downplays it by stating that United haven't gotten in touch with Dortmund yet (Tier 2):

  • Price: €50m
  • Dortmund will only sell if the club fail to make the CL.
  • United can advance their interest if they move on a midfielder.

I like that profile. Young, ex-City academy making a name for themselves at Dortmund.

What an utterly horrendous signing that would be, holy shit, hope there’s no truth in this

There better not be any truth to this.

Formerly of City and now with Dortmund , I can’t see anything wrong with this type of deal anyway personally

not very good?
He's good, but he was involved in some controversy before his Dortmund move where he made some homophobic remarks. That'll come under the spotlight as the links to United become more substantial.

Never heard of that player but I’d be reluctant to deal with Dortmund again so soon. They have a habit of pulling our trousers down.
Ye because players look class in there league but not in ours. Plus he couldn’t make it at city. We don’t want city rejects

He might not be great - but it would not take much to improve our central midfield
We shouldn’t be looking at it like that though. We could pick up a championship midfielder and he could help us be better. We need quality not average players because there better than our below average players.

True but i think we should be looking for someone that would truly takes our midfield up a few notches given limited resources. We can't afford to sign duds or also-rans anymore.

Nmecha is pretty average and definitely not a 50m signing.
Nothing concrete yet but I’m really disappointed with the mutters of rumoured central midfielders we’re linked to. It’s all been average all action midfielders.

I didn’t say anything about comparing Rasmus to Sesko. I said Rasmus and Josh showed potential which they have.
Whilst replying to a post about how much more potential has shown than Sesko.

The potential Hojlund has shown is a myth. He's been crap for the majority of two seasons.

Højlunds previous season for us is as good as any season Sesko has played goalscoring-wise. And he did it in a much tougher league. You can also check their all time head-to-head in the Champions League on Sofascore where you will see Højlund have a much better record in Europe, despite playing less games.

No, the potential both he and Zirkzee have shown is in the Italian league. Likewise the potential Sesko is showing is in the German league - which whether you think is better or worse than the Italian league isn’t the Premier League. Like our two, Sesko also hasn’t played for a club anywhere near the size, stature, exposure and pressure of United.
You have a biased opinion skewed against our players, which is the point I was making with my first reply to you. Truth is we have no guarantees that Sesko would come here and be any better than Josh or Rasmus - especially in his first season so would likely be written off in the same manner.
