Delighted. Terrible fit for us and not a player I like anyway.
Less so the gamble. More the profile. I wouldn't be prepared to pay £80m or whatever it would take to sign Toney, in order to bench Højlund. I'd much rather replace Martial with a young, hungry player who wouldn't necessarily expect to be the main main. Someone like Openda for example. Would provide good competition, without hopefully the entitlement and price tag.Not a gamble you are willing to take?
From the sounds of things this is the opposite of what INEOS are planning for the summer. From the sounds of things INEOS/Ratcliffe want to move away us from these type of signings. I'd love Toney but don't want to overpay either. Definitely going to be more due dilligence going forward (hopefully)

Planning for players in the last year of their contract. Which Toney will be & EtH wants him, so he’ll probably get him.
Where did you read ten hag wants him. Where did you read we will go for him? What makes you think we get him over other clubs that want him?
Mokbel & Whitwell, highly reliable.
Please don't offer him £300K a week. He's still a baby and has a fantastic future ahead of him, but I hope we don't offer him too much money, otherwise he might think he's made it and have no interest in developing.
Yeah that kind of money would be stupid
He’s on £10k/week apparently. £50k/week sounds about right, on par with Garnacho, with the understanding that if he continues this progression he’ll be rewarded again in another couple of years.I don't know what he's on at the moment, but it maybe only £10/20K a week. So double it by all means and review again in 2 years. We must avoid 'spoiling' our players too young.
He's not going to leave United any time soon, surely.
Nah they’re straight up ISS 98 names. These guys have FM regen names
Heinze, Veron, Di Maria orTevez?I do like an Argentinian
If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much!Well they aren’t Dutch or play in the Eredivisie so that’s a step in the right direction at least.
Rojo and RomeroHeinze, Veron, Di Maria orTevez?
Heinze, Veron, Di Maria orTevez?
None of those mentioned were bad players. Heinze was a decent servant to the club, Veron was immense but just not right for us, DiMaria is a Ratface cnut but a good player - never wanted to be here though. Tevez is a talented turncoat treacherous elongated bastard, Rojo was clinically certifiable and Romero was the best reserve keeper in the history of football!Rojo and Romero
Rojo and Romero
In what way did Tevez not integrate into the culture? Did he not fancy a curry at the weekend?Very mixed bunch was my point, they can be good players or they can have very questionable attitudes. Tevez happy to take money, not integrate into the culture nor learn the language, then join Ciddy. Di Maria just a cnut of a thing, Heinze trying to join the vermin.... Our current mob are very good, so hopefully any others will follow their lead....
Need to be looking at Federico Redondo before Inter Miami sign him ?ARGENTINA! ARGENTINA! ARGENTINA!
For anyone wondering those are 16-17 year old players.

Did his thing on the pitch in red. I couldn't give a toss that he hated Britain. I think it was a crazy mistake not making his deal with us permanentHe spoke about it during an interview. He was in England for the money. Malvinas issues that he can't get over.
Restocking the academyFor anyone wondering those are 16-17 year old players.
