We already made that amount from selling two academy players, so pure profit in FFP terms. Didn’t seem to make much of a difference in our spending.

The Glazers have a hard limit on what they want to spend before the sale and at this point I’d say that’s more of a factor than FFP.

A lot of people forget about actual cash flow too. We may get in £15m for Elanga freeing up £75m to ‘spend’. It’s still only a portion of that £15m that lands in the account that day.

Not even bothering to quote anyone. It was announced that his contract has been terminated...but sure yeah, let's keep glorifying a scum bag
It wasn't. The statement said that it was decided that he will continue his career elsewhere and that the club will work with Greenwood to achieve that outcome. He's still under contract.

That's a misinterpretation by a free newspaper, that's not an official statement. The club's statement did say the club and Greenwood mutually agreed that he should recommence his career away from Old Trafford, there's been no statement about his contract being terminated and he's still currently an employee of the club albeit he shouldn't be at this stage.
He'll never play for Manchester United again. Not only is he a scumbag, he's an irrelevance and should not be talked about on here, tech-ni-fecking-cality or not. Jesus this place is full of it.

You said his contract had been terminated and I just pointed out that it hasn't been, how is that being full of it? I literally said he shouldn't be an employee and I think it's shameful he's still getting paid by the club and might still do for a while longer.

Can you link to this announcement? It’s not one I am aware of. Thanks

What is going on in this thread? People are getting angry over discussions and being corrected for comprehension issues. Bizarre yet funny

Both. But it's not a cash problem it's a FFP problem. Club isn't broke really.
off course the club is broke and this signing proves it. 8.4m loan fee and option to by for 21.4m unless we sign him on a 2 year deal after this season we will have a bigger FFP hit this season than if we sign him permanently and give him say a 4 or 5 year deal. Geez folks still falling for the Glazer driver FFP nonsens.

Club are such idiots - yet another chance to get very decent money out of another club (Fulham) desperate for reinforcements, improve our FFP status significantly, and they choose to cling onto the clogger...

You do understand what 'no deal on the player side' means right?

Just in case you don't, it means McTominay turned down the move. Nothing the club can do about it.

Sounds like Evans and the coaches have a little bromance going on. They became so good friends, they gave him a contract. Then Evans will retire and become part of the coaching staff. Says my magic orb.

No one is listening to you and you call yourself The Don. Not impressed. You lost my respect.

Why the anger. Go watch porn and have a good wank or two.

Oh really? Could he move to another club at another time if we terminate his contract? Of course we know that. The media drive seems to be to make sure he leaves United without the club being compensated at all.

It would be catastrophically stupid to give him to another club, Regardless of whether people feel he should play for the club again or not, he's a valuable asset and he's got two years on his deal to go. A loan for the shop window is the only sensible strategy if he is never to play for United again. Sell him next summer.

Out of interest, what is the highest possible % for a sell-on clause?
