Fallen Muppet. Lest we never forget
He’s clearly not part of our plans though. Better to get rid and get someone else in like Amrabat.Be surprised if we accept a bid for McTom now.

Would be pointless now because Ten Hag clearly rates McT as a squad player (Which I can understand) + with Mainoo injured, he's going to need squad depth to navigate all tournaments even with Amrabat. Why would it take a substantial offer? Learn from past mistakes and accept £30m.
At least he has potential. We know that McTominay is an average clogger.Cole fecking Palmer just went for 45 million.
Because they're dysfunctional. And it's also easy to substantiate 'good old scotty' favouritism with some dog-brained analysis about his 'power' and 'height' (despite the fact the 'power' seldom gets turned to anything useful, the agility for anything except vertical jumping isn't there, he's meek on the ball and seldom anticipates where it's going, his tackling is league one level, and the 'height' issue just means you need to coach better positioning re. set pieces across the team)Why would it take a substantial offer? Learn from past mistakes and accept £30m.
And that would be our 4th highest sale ever. City know how to sell, we don’t. £30m would be amazing going for our incompetent lot of negotiators.
If they give United money for him, who cares?McTom would be a terrible replacement for Palinha
McTominay is not going to Fulham. He will reject the move.If Paulinha goes to Bayern and ETH actually wants Amrabat and is prepared to play Hannibal occasionally (along with mainoo when he comes back) then.. it's not out of the question. He'll cost much much less than they get for Paulinha, and they already have 1-2 guys there to play purely DM roles. Plus Andreas has worked out Ok for them, so they have recent history for getting a tune out of united cast-offs...
He's also proven feck all, he could be completely shite. Mctominay has a huge amount of PL experience and is also a full international. Absoloutely right we put a price tag on him.At least he has potential. We know that McTominay is an average clogger.
Yeah I'm not bothered about Gravenberch. However, I think that Casemiro, Mainoo and Amrabat is enough. We will have basically traded Van de Beek, Fred and McTominay for Mount, Mainoo, Hannibal and Amrabat.Would be pointless now because Ten Hag clearly rates McT as a squad player (Which I can understand) + with Mainoo injured, he's going to need squad depth to navigate all tournaments even with Amrabat.
Now if we offload McT and move for Gravebergh AND Amrabat I can understand. But from what I've read about the former I Dont see a big difference between him and McT anyway.
Agreed, but that's the risk you take. I think that £45-50m for McTominay is madness, but there you go.He's also proven feck all, he could be completely shite. Mctominay has a huge amount of PL experience and is also a full international. Absoloutely right we put a price tag on him.
Of course, I’d be delighted if we ship him out, but can’t see the logic in replacing Palinha with a player with no positional sense whatsoever. If they give United money for him, who cares?
I'm less comfortable leaning on both Mainoo + Hannibal as part of the backup structure. Hannibal in particular I think needs time, but lets see.Yeah I'm not bothered about Gravenberch. However, I think that Casemiro, Mainoo and Amrabat is enough. We will have basically traded Van de Beek, Fred and McTominay for Mount, Mainoo, Hannibal and Amrabat.
Agreed. Take the £30m, thank your lucky stars and move on.Because they're dysfunctional. And it's also easy to substantiate 'good old scotty' favouritism with some dog-brained analysis about his 'power' and 'height' (despite the fact the 'power' seldom gets turned to anything useful, the agility for anything except vertical jumping isn't there, he's meek on the ball and seldom anticipates where it's going, his tackling is league one level, and the 'height' issue just means you need to coach better positioning re. set pieces across the team)
More money, gets to play regular games. Of course he’d go there, it’s not like he’s made to feel welcome at United, he’s falling down the pecking order and is now behind an 18 year old.McTominay is not going to Fulham. He will reject the move.
The glazers will be gone. I have zero doubts that this will happen. Heard will be a September announcement.
Surely most people would take Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe FIChemE as new owner over the Glazers at this point?
pretty sure he would at least put in the money that owners are permitted to put into a club? As opposed to the zero pounds the Glazers have put in over 18 years
We don't hold out for reasonable fees though. We hold out for unrealistic fees that price out all buyers, then end up hanging onto players for too long and losing them on a free.Baffles me that people complain about us being shit at selling, then when we hold our for a reasonable fee, they complain we should learn from past mistakes and accept whatever they offer us.
Your logic (and many other posters here) is off.Cole fecking Palmer just went for 45 million.
Good post. I'd take anyone as long as it isn't the Gazers, I mean it would be extremely difficult to run the club worse than the Gazers have and I'd take my chances that the new owners (whoever they are) wouldn't be as bad. From the cycling team to OGCN, I'm not sure INEOS has demonstrated yet they're particularly apt sport teams owner. I'd rather the Glazers go as soon as possible. I don't know if any of the prospective owners will manage the club better (even just as a pure money making venture) but we do definitely know any structural reform will not happen under the Glazers.
Cole Palmer has potential resale value. Scott not so much.Cole fecking Palmer just went for 45 million.
McTominay has already been replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.Getting rid of McTominay this late in the window would be a dumb move. Would give us the money for Amrabat but then we'd need to replace McTominay. We're short enough on midfielders as it is.
Nope. Would just be Amrabat for £25m. After Forest had £17m accepted no less. Remember we dont have ambitious leadership.if McTominay goes, surely we look at Amrabat AND Gravenberch?
This transfer window really shows what the Glazers plans are for United now they're sticking around. Mid-table signings for mid-table ambitions. Reguilon is an Everton signing.
McTominay is done here it's time to rebuild those squad options with kids like Gore, Mainoo and Megbri. Five years in the first team and he has had a few spells of acceptable form, we need players who have more potential for growth. I'd rather we struggle with a couple of 18 year olds with world class potential than go around in circles with players like Scott.Getting rid of McTominay this late in the window would be a dumb move. Would give us the money for Amrabat but then we'd need to replace McTominay. We're short enough on midfielders as it is.
Shush, they don't know that.McTom would be a terrible replacement for Palinha
Ok what happens if one of Dalot or Fernandez gets injured? Then what? We’d have 0 LBs at the club and 1 RB.Glad the Hendo deal is through and we balanced our books.
However, I don’t get it why we can’t play Fernandez or even Dalot as left back. We’re talking here for approx 3 months and, don’t get me wrong, but getting Cucurella or Reguilon doesn’t really make a difference. I even think Dalot or Fernández would fit better during the absence of Shaw, and they know the club by heart.
We better should focus on midfield and get a quality replacement (Gravenberch is off to Liverpool).

Where is Donny going to? Lorient?
League 1Yeah, Leyton Orient, what division are they in now?
