Thanks to @unplayable in the Matt Judge resignation thread:

Before people jump to conclusions, Tom Keane is a sports lawyer. He's been in the football industry for many years. He won't be a full-time employee given that he'll work as a consultant. I expect us to use him to sort out the legalities and specific terms in the contracts rather than drive the negotiations.

Old Boys FC

It feels like we’ve been in an abusive relationship and now we’re being told that the club’s a changed man and things will get better but so far nothing’s changed other that the club is saying it’s doing better. Proof is in the pudding and so far there is none.

We have a new CEO. And a new manager. The Glazers aren't micromanaging the transfers so it's on the chief executive.

So it's a new relationship. And what's clear is United fans are damaged and holding a lot of baggage. We're the ones that need therapy and to change not the new folks coming in.

Michael Keane was a United boy. Probably weaselled himself in during that time.

He's still not an old boy, he never played for the club regardless of what his brothers do or did, as both of them are ex united players, but neither are being brought in as a consultant.

Transfers are annonced when it suits both parties and the financial ramifications are set in stone. Yeah, for FdJ, it's going to take a little bit longer and it's pacing really well. This isn't some second tier player who hasn't played football in months. FdJ's 21/22 football season literally just ended less than 10 days ago. He's on holiday, but has been briefed by his agents, Barca, and United via EtH.

Barca clearly is doing the same thing with Raphinha, Lewandowski, and a whole host of their other transfers...who are free. It's just not United's POV, they are also dealing with Barca and La Liga rules that they have to meet for their purposes.
Rumors are that Barca will announce a big signing tomorrow.

The other brother, Will, was very highly thought of at UTD and was due to get a squad place under Fergie, only to sustain an injury playing for England 21s which knackered his chances. Think he ended up at Wigan? Anyway, the Keane clan do seem to have a real affinity with the club.

Goldbridge doesn't have a clue. He reads the news and makes a good guess based on the information out there. He goes big on it, if it comes off then he looks great, if wrong then just blame the club.

He got made look very silly during the Sancho transfer. If you still believe his BS after that and after all the Timber stuff then I have magic beans to sell you.

You have to take pretty much all sources with a pinch of salt unless they are official. Transfers are very fluid and a lot can change.

Whether you like him or not whatever he has a source or two though.

That's the wrong Keane, we need Roy back so he can put the frightners on Haaland.

We have a ton of players that nobody else wants and are struggling to sell them or get interest in them, it's absolutely not a silly stance to take.

And yes, before you say it, we're not looking to sell McTominay. I don't imagine it would be any different though.
We can't sell those players because they're usually injury-prone and/or mainly produced bad performances. McTominay's average level for us has been as a steady player with the occasional stinker or great performance. He also is not on high wages relative to the rest of the squad. He could definitely fetch a good price.

If the average that is Harry Winks can be potentially sold for 20m then McTominay is potentially worth 30-40m.

Think you're taking this too personally Jorge. This doesn't break the tier rules. AS are a big source with 3.4m followers.
Technically, it does.
Also, don't post a Tweet from an aggregator that refers to a Tier 4 source or below. The same exception as above applies.
However, you very rarely, if ever, break the rules, so you should get a pass for that.

Yeah it’s called the internet, just like everyone else. Guy is a banned source for a reason, he just drags people into his channel with click bait, otherwise he has no income.
