Lindelof "Untouchable" . Do people believe this stuff?
So we can rotate at CB, we will lose an expensive CB in Maguire, that leaves us 3, one who is always picking up injuries. If we can rotate it might help with Varanes fitness. He's a centre-back, right? Why would we buy an expensive centre-back?
agree 100 %. All we then need is a keeper that that will attack corners and free kicks and can distribute the ball efficientlyGlad we're keeping Lindelof. Licha - Varane - Lindelof - Kim would be a fantastic set of options at CB. Just what a serious CL club should have at its disposal.
Because great CBs are critical to great teams. They are critical as central midfielders in terms of the importance to the team. Can't have too many great CBs. Same with great CMs. You always have a chance to win. He's a centre-back, right? Why would we buy an expensive centre-back?
All the great United sides had great CB pairing plus great alternatives.Because great CBs are critical to great teams. They are critical as central midfielders in terms of the importance to the team. Can't have too many great CBs. Same with great CMs. You always have a chance to win.
That's just Romano's way of saying that he's not for sale. He says players are untouchable all the time, which makes it sound dramaticLindelof "Untouchable" . Do people believe this stuff?

We'll buy one after we address those holes in the first XI, namely the striker and midfield positions. The striker position's our #1 priority, but that depends on how much money we have available (depending on the club's sale). At the moment, it looks like we're on standby for the striker role as, after Harry Kane, there's no other experienced & established option for United at this time, and we want to wait for the ownership situation to develop before we make a move. Before signing a backup cb we should definitely look at the gaping holes in the first XI.
How many of those were sideways or backwards to the keeper? That’s why I don’t like those stats. How many passes were progressive?Finished as the player with highest pass accuracy of any defender in the Premier league last season.
Can't point to any major error he made either. We'd have been fecked without his stepping in after Martinez and Varane got injured.
Great back up player.

- The price: €75m (release clause amount)
- Jorge Mendes is handling this possible transfer.
- Costa's transfer is approved by United's board.
only if you believe every story, we're used in every rumour, 99% is bollox and makes everyone think we just spend the entire window finalising or monitoring situations when in reality we're working on a select few transfers and journalists know feck all and just repeat stories involving us for clicks.Finalising an offer for a buy-out clause.
Nothing is more Manchester United in a transfer window.
The report implies that Porto are open to selling at the same price as the release clause amount without the release clause being triggered i.e. the money won't be offered up front but over a span of several years. In that case, it makes sense that United are preparing an offer rather than just offering the full amount up front.Finalising an offer for a buy-out clause.

Kim Min-Jae's clause is only valid for the first two weeks of July. It is worth around €47m.
- Manchester U. well positioned to attract the defender. Other PL clubs are interested.
- Can PSG revive the trail after Ramos' departure?
That's astonishing. But his passing is one of his better quality. I just don't find him a very convincing defender, never have.
Name me a better third-choice/fourth-choice central defender in any club in the P.L

Yeah he walked into that oneAymeric Laporte
Focusing on one target at once is a mistake, we should look to make deals at the same time.
Getting rid of Maguire and AWB, and replacing them with Kim and Pavard, for about 70m, would be a great deal of business.
City could be dark horses for Pavard
Don't think he wants to be second option though.
Nah the Times are reporting he would he prefer a move to United than oversees. He wants the PL record. If Spurs don't sell him this summer then I can see him joining us next year on a free.Clearly he isn't willing to push enough for this move to Utd or Ramos words worked and he will join Real after his holiday

If he wants to stay in England, who else can he possibly sign for? Doubt it will be Arsenal, City have Haaland, Pool Nunez, Newcastle have Isak. The only possible competition would be Chelsea, if they don't sign someone this year. The bigger concern will be Spurs having a good season and Levy somehow convincing Kane to sign a new contract.Problem is we will have others involved next year

Doubt Kane is going anywhere really. If anything he will evaluate his options in January. The idea of being so close to Shearer's record only to piss it off in the last 2-3 years would be too much for him.Clearly he isn't willing to push enough for this move to Utd or Ramos words worked and he will join Real after his holiday
Something something we don’t sell to rivals blah blah..
