Pretty sure it was an obligation and not an option. If they qualify for the Champions League don’t they have to buy him?
No one really knows what the conditional obligation is based on. When L'Équipe published an article on Bailly a while back, they didn't really cover anything about the conditions behind an obligatory purchase. It may be based on CL qualification, but if that was the case, then we'd have learned about it a while back.Pretty sure it was an obligation and not an option. Thanks for the reminder. FYI, make sure to put this Tweet under a quote/spoiler so that it doesn't pop up in the feed.
From Luckhurst’s article:Cool no prob. Anyway, hopefully Fab is mixed up and the deal is done.
He played:The CL clause was mentioned when the deal was done. I saw that and a requirement to play 50% of games. Heaven knows how many he’s played.
He played:
- 13 games in Ligue 1 (4 starts, 9 off the bench)
- 1 game in French cup (1 start, red carded) - out of 4 possible games
- 5 games in UCL (5 starts) - out of 6 possible games
Total: 19 games played (10 starts) out of 38 (50% games played)
In terms of minutes - he only played 763 minutes out of 3420 possible (22% minutes played).
Out of 19 matches missed, he missed 5 due to injury and 5 due to red card suspension.
We will see. But at least he is reportedly not injured currently, so he is able to playInteresting. Well all reports suggest he is required to play 50% of games so they will probably keep him out of the team from now.
Martinez is ant-man and hasn’t fully grown back
No chance at €50m we should be asking for £45m for AWB and £55m for Dalot in that case !50m euros. He doesn’t look that good to me.
Tier 1 (BILD article with this info was also includes Tobi Altschäffl as the author):
Good thing is they won’t be signing all 4Basically all Uniteds targets. cnuts
To be fair didn’t we have a major overhaul last summer as well? Just seems the rumours about not wanting to move almost an entire squad out in one summer was trueSounds good but I’ll believe it when I see it.
Seconded.Sounds good but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Tier 1:
It's not "some journo". It's every journo at the same time, which indicates this is a briefing from the club. In other words, the usual PR after a humiliating loss. Some journo trots out this crap every season and it gets lapped up. A massive clear out in one window is a ridiculous notion and fairly risky, so no surprise it never happens.
New crisis PR brief just dropped. Take it while it's hot.
This brief bollock talk I find so fecking hilarious. We’re in a perpetual state of anger.Panic PR briefs. Actually embarassing
What an absurd post. We've seen the club use this playbook time and time again over the years, with predictable timing. This brief bollock talk I find so fecking hilarious. We’re in a perpetual state of anger.
Good news: PR Brief (we’re still shite!!)
Bad news: See I told you we were shite! Why does this club never do anything good!
Club does something good: SMACKS OF PR BRIEF BOLLOCKS!!
Do you really think the club have got time to source out Journo’s and leak all transfer News because we got knocked out? Take off the tin foil hats guys. please!!!!!
By briefing we’re selling half the squad? What an absurd post. We've seen the club use this playbook time and time again over the years, with predictable timing.
Selling half the squad, hiring a DOF soon, getting ready for a busy summer, etc. The message isn't always the same, but the tactic is.By briefing we’re selling half the squad?
Its not a realistic plan. Its not attempting to be realistic. They're just feeding the sharks.By briefing we’re selling half the squad?

It shouldn't be. If the club gets sold, that could obviously unlock more transfer funds, but ongoing business activities (including transfers in and out) don't stop just because we're in the middle of a deal.Just me or is transfer talk futile until we get the ownership sorted?
To pretend PR briefs aren’t a thing is naive, even by your standards.
