You never know which players will be offered to clubs by agents on the final day, so there's always a slim possibility we'll sign someone if the right player becomes available. We've had surprise deadline day signings before. Wouldn't get my hopes up though, considering how much we've already spent.

Surely there are better clubs after him? I can’t believe our most promising youngsters will end up in the Championship. And some will have you believe they are ready to play for United. Same as Garner.

I know first hand that there have been at least 15 clubs in for Amad this summer for a loan deal, it would be a surprise if he picked Sunderland, but perhaps he has been promised a pivotal role in the team.

How do you know first hand?

Antony still not officially announced as signed by the club yet.

Quadruple announcement tomorrow?

Antony
Dest
Depay
De Jong

This would be the ultimate Muppet Deadline Day

We don't know what the price of Garner will be so why stress about it ? I agree that £15 million is too little - but I believe it will be around £20 million which I think is a fair price. A top striker from the Championship will maybe go for close to £30 million - I think Watkins was close to that. A midfielder is usually a bit cheaper and he is hot in the market, but not super-hot. So just north of £20 million seems right

Everyones talking the same, including the manager. Basically dont expect anything, but you knew know. Cant see anything changing to be honest. There's a world cup in tate November. Its not that long to go until the next window.

Jordan Ibe was sold for £25m about five years ago

Edit: ignore me. It was £15m

you probably were thinking about Brewster who Liverpool sold for £23M in 2020.

He only had half season with Swansea in C'ship before Sheffield stomped a record fee for him. He is a forward and usually forward go for higher prices than midfielders and defenders, heck we paid about £19M for a total nobody like Amad.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what's happening with likes of Teden Mengi and Di'Shon Bernard? Are they playing for the reserves/u21 this season? My impression was that they both did ok in the Championship last season so that another loan at that level would make sense..

Thats a cover all tweet?
You meant to write "bullshit"
A way to say something without saying absolutely anything. Pointless tweet.
Trying for clicks. Also in case something comes off.
"For more, please follow my feed, like, and retweet."
It's his opinion. It's not even a Transfer Tweet. I don't get why it got posted. Even worse, I don't get why people are having a go at him for posting his opinion. He's not presenting it as news.
