I’d go for Tielemans as Eriksen is going to be need to rotate. Only a year left on his contract too so if we can get him for £25m it would be a bargain.
How do you agree personal terms on a loan? Surely it's the same money he was on at Newcastle
Tielemans isnt good enough
We should be putting in the hard yards now to secure Caicedo for big money next summer. Then transition from Casemiro to him over the next few years. That’s the profile we need. Tielemens is a lightweight 8. So not need or want.Tielemans isnt good enough
Thought things would be quiet today. But things need to pick up very soon if we are going to be signing a few players. Still shocked Ajax rejected that offer for Antony. I hope we go back in for him. Such an exciting player.
I'll be delighted if the next weeks sees us bring in Antony and a forward, with Ronaldo leaving. If we've any chance of top 4 I think it has to happen
Yeah we won so it goes quiet again
This theories are doing my head in.Rather we lost instead so there's more transfer excitement?
He is miles better than what we have for a relatively cheap price but yeah he is shit let's stick with mctominayFor the price I’d say he offers a solid option without blowing our budget for Antony. He wouldn’t be so expensive that we can’t go and get an improvement next summer. We clearly need someone to compete and rotate with Eriksen as Fred just doesn’t do the same job.

I think we can forget about a midfield signing when In 4 days we have to: Get a backup gk, get a winger, sell awb and replace him, sell Ronaldo and replace him.
This would be too good to be true, Osimhen and Antony would do wonders for our attack and even put us in the top 4.We pay half his wages if they allow Osimhen to go on loan with a mandatory purchase next year. Napoli get a ‘world class’ poster boy replacement without paying a penny plus a good fee guaranteed, we get a top young striker and Ronaldo out without paying anything this year (osimhen plus half Ronaldo wages may even be less than full Ronaldo wages) - and still have the funds to sign Antony. A deal can be done here.
If Napoli want Ronaldo it makes sense. We’d both be swapping Ronaldo for Osimhen for a year - neither paying anymore than they currently do in wages - and then doing the transfer next year. This would be too good to be true, Osimhen and Antony would do wonders for our attack and even put us in the top 4.
Can't believe it sadly.
It’s not utter nonsense if it’s a loan to buy. It makes perfect sense for all parties then IF Napoli want him.The Osimhen rumours are pie in the sky. As if we'd sanction another 120m signing AND pay most of Ronaldo's wages. Just utter nonsense
How does it ever make perfect sense to spend £20m in wages loaning out a player? It’s not utter nonsense if it’s a loan to buy. It makes perfect sense for all parties then IF Napoli want him.
Because I’m not sure if you’ve missed it - he doesn’t want to fecking be here, Elanga is starting ahead of him, an unhappy Ronaldo is a huge issue behind the scenes and he doesn’t suit ETH. So if paying his wages fecks him out the door and gets a top quality young replacement who can actually run then yes - it does make sense. How does it ever make perfect sense to spend £20m in wages loaning out a player?

Agreed, this would only make sense for them if they're hellbent of having Ronaldo for a season, for whatever reasons. From a purely footballing perspective, it makes no sensewould be nice, but struggling to see why Napoli would be very interested in doing this though
if they let Osimhen go they'll want the cash up front or most of it
They get Ronaldo in place of Osimhen for a year without paying a penny. Then get a big fee from next year. No big transfer fees are paid up front - they’re all instalments anyway - us giving them Ronaldo and paying the difference in wages from Osimhen to his wage is the instalment.would be nice, but struggling to see why Napoli would be very interested in doing this though

Paying a player's wages when they are the one that to trying to leave is insane.Because I’m not sure if you’ve missed it - he doesn’t want to fecking be here, Elanga is starting ahead of him, an unhappy Ronaldo is a huge issue behind the scenes and he doesn’t suit ETH.
