Vitinha is one step away from switching from FC Porto to PSG, who agreed to pay €40 million (value of the termination clause). Clubs are now negotiating the payment method. Target defined by Luís Campos, the Portuguese midfielder has a 5-year contract in hand (until June 2027)

They throw Man United in the middle when negotiating with a third party to raise the fees.

Shortest United saga ever?

In a world where transfer "journalists" often use United to generate clicks, the Portuguese ones are by far the worst.

for feck sake Portugese journos are the absolute worst

Who the bloody hell is Bruno Andrade? Blue tick so must be true strikes again.
He's one of the most reliable journalists covering both Portuguese and Brazilian football. He reports for UOL (a Brazilian media outlet), and he typically covers Portuguese football for them.

The Andrade Tweet stated that PSG are triggering his release clause. The amount doesn't need to be negotiated.

I did think it was doubtful we were interested. I mean, a year ago Wolves rejected him and now he's good enough for us??

But didn't that Johnathan Slagger or whatever his name is, say he was a priority for us?

Is this Shrager guy really worthy of being considered Tier 1? Considering Romano and others are correct this evening.

He just seems to quote the obvious or fuel very broad transfer rumours which are difficult to disprove. Feels like he may have been found out tonight.

Timber turned us down, Vitinha on his way to PSG, we have to sign de Jong but either way, this summer is looking bleak.

People can tell me how long the window has been open, that doesn't stop club making deals, it's just a shit cover up excuse for covering up for how slowly we move.

I'm not questioning the reputation of the journalist. This is not my point. I'm talking about an information, not about a person. I don't know that professional. Serious journalists are fed with malicious informations in all areas. A buying club could try to negotiate a value bellow the release clause and suddenly the name Man United is mentioned and the release clause is activated. Its not an absurd scenario. The ammount of players "linked to United" that apparently we lose in the market, gives me the propensity to be sceptical.

I have similar views, he reminds me of Sam Pilger. Tweets a lot of the right things later but doesn't feel like he is ever the first to anything.

Why are people getting all worked up over this Vitinha? We get linked by some Twitter journos and cause he’s off somewhere else it’s a case of “another one missed”?!

For feck sake I’d be willing to wager half of us didn’t even know who he was this time last week.

Ten Hag must be starting to realise at this point he's been sold a lie by a bunch of corporate hacks who had no intention of properly backing him. They're hoping he can work miracles with the shite we have so they can justify the ridiculous wages they're paying them.

Real Madrid have won 5 European cups in the last decade without one. Definitely not needed if you have the right quality.

Casemiro has literally been arguably the best DM of the majority of the last decade

I don't buy the theory that Timber is staying at Ajax because of game time. As one of his former manager's first signings at a new club, in positions where we've got plenty of dross, he'd be a shoo in. EtH would've privately assured him of that.

EtH has got a big rebuilding job over multiple windows, with a set budget, and he's going to go in hard for a player he doesn't intend to play every week? Bullshit.

Then What is Casimiro if he isn't a DM , though you may get away without playing dedicated DM but you certainly need somebody who is comfortable enough to play just in front of the defense and initiate play from there .

Casemiro plays nothing like a DM. He’s always been a high energy ball winner who gets up and down the pitch. He certainly doesn’t sit as the deepest midfielder screening the defence. He’s regularly further ahead of Kroos and Modric.

Kroos is the one has tended to sit deepest in much the way Pirlo used to. In fact Gattuso or Roy Keane are pretty good parallels to the kind of role Casemiro has played.

Except he doesn’t play as a DM. He is a box to box midfielder. Better version of Fred. He doesn’t sit in front of the defence. He isn’t playing like Makelele or Fabinho of Fernandinho. Jordan Henderson does a similar role for Liverpool as did Wijnaldum before.

We don't want him anyway, we have Scotty and Freddy.

You will have to humor me, I just saw this on twitter!
