Pretty surprising to me. I expected clubs like United & Chelsea in particular that need huge rebuilds to be super active straight away after the season. Yet neither sounds especially close to signing anyone yet.

Have to give the Glazers time to get involved in every small decision. Probably takes a week to sign off on buying a bottle of Ribena never mind Frenkie De Jong.

He’s 25 and still going on loans, he will be looking to settle down somewhere now.

jones is allegedly seeking more chances elsewhere
Think with Jones they just have to be realistic with the fee, getting the wages of the payroll will be a big help. They cannot justify a big fee for him just because somebody messed up by giving him a new contract for too much money. Jones has to be realistic about his wages as well. He has barely played and every man and his dog knows he is injury prone.

I think that if it’s true that he’s looking for football chances elsewhere to rebuild his career he’s sensible enough to know he will have to drop salary or adapt to pay as you play.
Personally I’d look for a nominal fee, 2m and wave bye

Any league one clubs been linked to Telles recently? There must be someone who is in the market for a corner specialist?

Barca should go for Lisandro Martinez instead of trying to wheel and deal at a price-level they can’t afford.

Isn't Emerson Palmieri back to Chelsea? I don't know if Lyon signed another LB. Maybe we could do some deal with them. They have some good players. I don't if they can pay Telles wages though.

  • Tchouameni - they will sign the agreement with Monaco soon
  • Real not interested in Mane
  • Gabriel Jesus wants to move for more football. Di Marzio thinks Arsenal would be perfect
  • Nunez attracting interest from Madrid, Spurs, United, Arsenal and Liverpool. Doesn't make sense to go to Spurs (Kane & Son) or Madrid (Benzema) as he wants to be a starter.
  • Arsenal chasing Ruben Neves
  • Gundogan to stay at City (opinion)
A few opinion points on Nkunku, Dybala, Kounde and Gnabry

  • United value Dalot at €25m.
    • A fee close to that amount can tempt United.
  • Brandon Williams is also for sale.

If he is available for 25 million euros, must be one of those Seria A clubs that offer a loan with an option to buy for 5 million euros.

If we aren't interested in selling how do they know what we value Dalot at?
I think Luckhurst himself pulled this value from some older info + his own deduction. He's probably making an educated guess on United willing to sell Dalot if a buyer meets the club's valuation.

What was said about Nkunku?

Just that he hopes he goes back to PSG as it's his home club and that will depend on any new manager going in (Zidane) and what the plans for the attack will be. Honestly, just DM opinion, nothing really relevant.

Interviewer: Christopher Nkunku was the Bundesliga player of the season. Could he join another club in the summer?

DM: "It will depend on what PSG intends to do with the team. Do you have Luis Campos as a sporting director? Do you have Zinedine Zidane as a coach or someone else? Without knowing who will fill those two positions, it's hard to say what the club's strategy is.

I was in Paris for the Champions League final and I know the PSG fans want more homegrown players on the team. They miss Nkunku and Kalimuendo and all those players, they want them back on the team.

More French players in the team would bring them closer to the fans again. Currently, they have problems with empathy and the relationship with the fans.

I hope Nkunku comes back to PSG. I think he could score some goals alongside Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. It would be a perfect fit to be one of PSG's four forwards. But it depends on who becomes the coach and who becomes the sporting director.”

Yeah, I think di Marzio based that on an Nkunku interview from a few days back. There really isn't much to them. Nkunku will very likely stay at Leipzig for next season at the very least.
