Anyone not following the rules will be warned and perma banned from the thread. Please abide by the following list.

DON'T:

  • Post anything from clear BS accounts.
  • Post anything from clickbait tabloid accounts.
  • Post anything from aggregator sites (Utdreport etc) who don't link to original source and tend to make stuff up for retweets/follows.
  • Post anything that was tweeted more than three days ago. If it wasn't posted before then, nobody cares.
  • Use the thread to argue about the players United are linked with compared to those that a club like City are signing. If you want to moan, make a new thread.
  • Use the thread to moan about people who are moaning.
  • post offtopic comments in the thread. Keep the thread small and simple rather wasting pages on discussion about the quality of the player
  • post more than two tweets per post.
  • post joke/piss take tweets
  • post a non-English tweet without a basic translation
Tweets from actual journalists who work for well known media outlets are always best. (Examples - Di Marzio, Mitten, Ogden, Mathieson, Marcotti, Jackson, Ducker etc)

Last year's blacklist still applies and we will add or subtract new accounts to the below list as appropriate.

Mad to think that this is the thread where Sancho, Kane, Rice and Varane will be announced.

Martial, Ings, Greenwood & Cavani contending for the 1 strikers role. I don't think that'll happen
Cavani plays once a week. Greenwood plays RW too. Martial can play LW but has shown he isn't reliable. Inga shouldn't be more than a squad option.

A reminder that Çalhanoglu will become a free agent this summer as of now:

Oh yeah, Diego Costa's likely to move to new club this summer.

Turkey catches the attention of Diego Costa. There are several Süper Lig teams interested in him and something could be done in the coming weeks. Benfica is also asking but nothing advanced.

Yesterday, Union Berlin broke their transfer record on a 22-year-old left back from the Polish Ekstraklasa. Today, they got a pretty good attacking player from Mainz.

Ings has fitness issue anyway. So does Cavani. Martial is inconsistent and Greenwood is a kid.

Fergie always had 4 strikers in his squad and none of the 4 here are guaranteed starters every week either duty to injury or inexperience.

I'm not surprised that they're going after Ryan Bertrand. They're in dire need of an experienced left back (or at least a left-footed full back) as they typically go to right-footed full backs outside of Luke Thomas.

This feels obvious. No one is going to pay them what they paid for him and it makes no sense for them to sell at a loss.
Add player exchanges to that, too. The club's basically fully committed to him. They won't let him go except for some extreme circumstance.

EDIT: In my view, I don't think this'll go too far unless Spurs drop their asking price, which will require Kane to basically hand in a transfer request.

Strapping in now for Ings. Saga of the Summer.

City will get Kane before the Euros.
Cant see much of a saga there.

Quote from "Vincenzo Morabito, an intermediary for Olivier Giroud (not his agent)":
Olivier can come to Italy, although Chelsea are trying to renew him, but there is still nothing concrete. We will see what happens with Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku: if they leave AS Roma and Inter, Giroud could go to Italy.
