It's a hard pill to swallow, I understand but telling anyone who mentions it to "move on" 1. Stops any discussion on a relevant issue 2. Gives the club the green light to continue to do horrible business like this and continue many more years of under achieving.
TBH that was just a reaction to people constantly bringing it up when it was clearly obvious why the club did what it did. I don't intend to make excuses for the execs, it's just I get it and it was for the best thinking it out.

He just signed an extension, it will not be a free but he knew before signing he could move.
That's right; there's no way Chelsea would have offered an extension were they not going to get a fee from another club. According the article, however, the positivity is based on Giroud's camp cooperating with Milan to get the best deal for them (ideally a free transfer).

So, what DiMarzio has stated (and a gentleman known as Dani Longo, who has been the best Milan related source for the past year+) is that the Giroud extension is a Unilateral extension only - which bars him from signing for another EPL club this season. There is an agreement w his agents that he can leave for free for a club outside of the EPL.

Interesting. That explains why Milan feel good about possibly getting Giroud for free.

More info on the new appointment:

Ah, so Paratici played a part in this. I find it weird that they'd go for someone with such a similar profile to Mourinho. Surely, the players were ready for someone with fresh ideas or, at the very least, a more proactive style.

Fonseca is nothing like Mourinho

He's a good manager imo

From Dortmund?! Very positive if so.

Thats a far cry from them 'not selling' last year. I wouldn't pay much attention to the chelsea link either
The Chelsea link is just the Mail looking for extra clicks from gulliable people. Nothing new from them to be fair

Are Chelsea fans not sick of their name being used for clicks? The media have gone overboard imo

United are a joke, honeselty Chelsea and City get these deals over the line so easily and we drag our feet every transfer.

Wouldnt surprise me if someone ended up matching our bid and taking him off us as that always seems to happen.

Yeah, signing Kai Havertz was a walk in the park.

PLEASE tell me you're being sarcastic.
