Jurriën Timber on whether he'd pick Man. City or Barcelona:

Not as fast as Walker so won't kill off as many counter attacks, but along with Kounde he's the obvious choice to replace Walker in the city squad as an RCB type, and he'll be cheaper than Kounde you'd figure by at least 20-30M. Quite tidy on the ball.

Any guesses?

Has to be Newcastle and Spurs if it's true, right? Conte liked him and immediately had Lo Celso and N'Dombele shipped out so they do need a midfielder who can get forward in the squad.

i don't see how spurs is possible given his wages

Yeah that's true, he'd have to take a huge paycut but maybe he will anyways. Not sure who the other team is then.
The tweet doesn't actually say that Raiola is talking to 2 clubs about Pogba, it just says he's in conversion with 2 clubs, could be about any other of his players.

He wants to win trophies, I don’t see how Spurs fall into that category :p
Well unless he’s talking to city or Liverpool there’s no guarantee. His agent is after money, signing on fees not trophies.

spurs with the Conte connection makes sense. He was after all the one that took a punt on him at 19

Zero chance he's going to Spurs or any non-CL club for that matter.

I wish we would hurry up with Ten Hag and hijack this.

'If' we're getting him, then we'd already have a shopping list. Transfer window isn't even open yet and Bayern are a very attractive option to players as they'll win things and every season in the Champs league, something which we can't currently offer.

Marcos Alonso on whether he'd want to play in La Liga:
I would love to play in La Liga, all my life I have wanted to play and be here in Spain, but the circumstances have been different and not everything has depended on me. At the moment I am focused on this season and what has to be, will be.

If he'd want to play for Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Atletico Madrid because of his family ties:
Yes, yes, I have family ties on all sides…Chelsea right now. I have a contract for this and one more season.

Barça consider the Uruguayan's requests to be exaggerated
  • Araujo's agent, Flavio Perchman, had made demands that Barcelona aren't willing to agree on.
  • Barcelona think that Araujo doesn't deserve a higher pay than most players who renewed their contracts and agreed to inferior terms.
  • Some Premier League clubs are interested, and Perchman's taking advantage of this to get Araujo a better contract.
  • Barcelona are expecting complicated negotiations as a result.
  • On Gavi, the player's agent, Ivan de la Peña, has scheduled a new meeting next week to continue the negotiations.
    • Optimism from all parties over a new deal
EDIT: From Samuel Marsden & Moises Llorens

  • Liverpool & Man. United are monitoring the situation.
    • Both clubs will commence talks if the renewal negotiations stall.
  • The money on offer from the English clubs almost doubles Barcelona's offer.
    • Barcelona's offer: €5M/year for 5 years
    • English clubs are offering ~€8M/year
  • Reminder: Araujo prefers to stay at Barcelona, and Barcelona want to keep the player

The Tweet itself is a good summary of the article.

In the article does it suggest that they’d let United have him for free to avoid paying loads out in compensation?

Seems ridiculous to hold out for a £15m plus buyout fee if they want a new manager for next season anyway. Seems best for all parties, if United or anyone wants Pochettino, that they agree to a free transfer to avoid payouts

PSG only need to pay the compensation if they sack Pochettino. There's no release clause in Poch's contract, but (my observation) that doesn't mean that United will get Poch without paying PSG for him. Granted, if PSG continue to struggle, then I can see PSG letting Poch go to United for free.

We know who the two PL teams are now. If the source is any good.

That's probably about his level right now, they could "afford" to build a team around him, no other top team will justify having him as the luxury in the team.

More info from James Ducker:

Bruno's new contract should see him earning up to £240k/week.
