They're very short on strikers. Lacazette and Nketiah are their only options I think. Oh and Martinelli.

I suppose they only have league games to play now.
Might be sarcasm, as I think they are still paying a part of his wages to make this deal go through

Toni Juanmartí said something similar in Romano's Deadline Day stream on Twitch.

I’d love to know how Arsenal are managing to shift a 30+ player on £350k a week but we struggle moving on Pogba, Martial, de Gea, Lingard et al.

Losing their captain and star player for free mid season with no replacement?

It’s a disaster. Another Ozil and Sanchez.

He’s still worth £15-20m

not on those wages. His contract extension was the mistake, getting rid of a problem character with hefty wages is a best case scenario. They were never getting a transfer fee for him.

Arsenal have done really well there.

Not really, signed for 60m and now they lose him for free.

They only have 2 remaining strikers in the squad, Nketiah and Lacazette who have scored a grand total of 3 goals between them, 1 less that Auba. I suppose they're lucky they only have the league to focus on this season now.

again, you need to focus on the actual business of getting him out the door at this point. I wasn’t talking about whether his transfer to Arsenal was a success or not.

Because we are not as desperate as Arsenal to clear our wages and we won't let any of those players leave for free.

They have him leave on a free transfer and pay out?

Not difficult if you think United should just release all those players?

Don’t understand the question to be honest

You don’t just let players go on a free

Terrible management at club level and its the third time it’s happened with their star players

wonder just who is doing the blocking?
According to Rob Dawson, the board blocked the Lingard move. I don't know exactly what he meant by the board, but I'm guessing it involves (but is not exclusive to) Woodward, Murtough, and probably Marcel Bout. I wouldn't be surprised if the same group is involved in blocking Henderson's move.

With Lingard, it's likely because of the Greenwood situation as Ducker mentioned. With Henderson, I think Rangnick wants to keep him for the FA Cup and keep Heaton around as the 3rd keeper. I don't think I've ever seen Lee Grant be particularly involved in the football team that much, so keeping Henderson will allow us to have 3 keepers to choose from instead of just 2.

He is reliable with certain stories which are leaked to him by a certain someone. He also posts a tremendous amount of shit.
He likes to post ABU content typically, but I wouldn't consider him to be unreliable. He used to jump the gun quite a bit, but after the embarrassing Sander Berge moment, he's toned down on that front.

And leave a very unhappy and very vocal player in the squad, to worsen the atmosphere even further. Same with Lingard :)

Yeah, that's their choice in the end. With that said, let's not underrate Ben Foster. Henderson wouldn't automatically become Watford's #1 ahead of Foster. Outside of Watford, Everton, and Norwich, I can see Henderson starting for every Premier League club from 12th and below.

Botman on the Newcastle links:
Newcastle is working on a great project and I thought it would be fun to be a part of it. Especially if you look at where Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain once started.

Botman's open to leaving Lille, but he didn't want to force a transfer in the current window.

So if Lacazette gets injured now wtf are Arsenal going to do? Even with Lacazette they weren’t scoring many goals.

Feels like their club hierarchy are completely clearing the decks for big summer moves but are passing up a golden opportunity this season to finish 4th. Feels like they would have been clear favorites for that spot if they had brought in between 1-3 great signings since they only have the PL to play in now.
